We’ve got a massive group of our Tauihi wāhine representing Aotearoa over the next week as the 2degrees Tall Ferns take on some of the best in the world. It’s a huge shift for the girls, and we want the whole basketball community behind them!

There’s no way we can let the end of our season go without shouting out to our Queens crew. We snapped as many as we could…there’s as many again who were on the run, or getting bombarded at the merch table lol

They are all card carrying members of the A-Team and we’d be lost without them. Thank you guys…SSSSOOOO much.

What a game.

Not every day plays out the way you wish, this was one of those, but we couldn’t have dreamed of a more incredible run up.

The Tokomanawa Queens are top of the ladder and hosting the semi-final tomorrow 3pm at Te Rauparaha Arena – the dream scenario, and we get to do it right here at home where the crowd makes all the difference.

In true Queens style, they’re moving fast - and doing good with their newest initiative, Toys for Joys, a campaign years in the making.

In partnership with The Warehouse, General Admission tickets are FREE when you bring a new unwrapped toy. All gifts go to the Kindness Collective, supporting whānau doing it tough this Christmas.

The Kindness Collective’s Christmas Joy Store supports over 10,000 kids across Aotearoa. More people at the game = more toys = more joy. And with the semis on the line… let’s pack the house.

Finals time in 'awesome', tight Tauihi basketball league So close has the season been, the national women's basketball league only found its semifinalists for this weekend with a percentages calculation.

Doesn’t get any better than this Queens family.

One of our Queens values draws on the whakataukī ‘whakanuia te tangata ringa raupā - respect a person with calloused hands’.

Which in its everyday form, for us, is about hustle.

These Queens have hustled like there’s no tomorrow, and we are so so proud of them. They’re absolutely incredible.

What they have said to us in turn is ‘my strength is not as an individual, but as a team - ehara tāku toa i te toa takitahi, he toa takitini”.

And that, we love. Team - all day every day.
