WEDDING FLASH MOB - DANCING QUEEN

I just had to share. Recently, I received an email from Louise as follows:

"My daughter and her husband got married on Whidbey Island off of the state of Washington in the US a few weeks ago. It was a "destination wedding" meaning we had 100 guests and all but 90 had to get on a plane to attend. We had guests from as far away as Sydney Australia, and from 20 US states. Many people did not know each other.

At the last minute, I decided to try to organize a flash mob to "Dancing Queen". I had to pick a very easy tutorial that was clear to learn and execute ... I chose your video. I sent it out hoping for 20 people but we had nearly everybody participate. It was AMAZING. Your video made it possible! I have practice videos from guests prior to the wedding and practicing that morning on the island. It was a way to bring everybody together and it was all they were talking about - so it was thrilling that we pulled off the surprise.

Our daughter and her husband were stunned in the very best of ways. It was very very happy and joyful."

I love this video ... so much joy in that room. Thank you Louise and Libby for letting me share.

**THANK YOU ❤️**

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to the NSD 10th Birthday celebration on Friday night!

You guys ROCKED!!!** 🎉💃🕺

Thank you all for bringing so much love and energy to the night. I loved seeing everyone dancing their socks off, smiling, singing at the top of their lungs (outstanding 😂), chatting, laughing and generally having a fabulous time!

Thank you Ange and Giles for the lovely speeches 😭❤, and thank you everyone (and Kate Ridley for organising) for the amazing gifts. They were so gorgeous and completely unexpected ❤️... I am ridiculously excited about spending the spa & book vouchers 🤣.

And Bek, thank you for your amazing dancing & choreography, and for my fantastic framed gold record & collage. So clever and thoughtful — and I have just the spot for it.

“That’s going straight to the pool room!” 😂

Thank you Olly & Maia & Katie for coming along to show your support ❤❤, and thank you Giles for everything ❤❤. Thanks also to Helen & Bek for your help with the set-up and pack-down on the night.

And, of course, most of all, thank you to ALL OF YOU for all your love, support and amazing dancing over the last 10 years ❤️.

I love what I do, and I am incredibly grateful that I get to dance and spend time with such an amazing group of people. NSD wouldn’t be what it is without you!

I have lots of photos and video from the night to sort through (thank you Bek, Giles & Michelle Mayron), so I’ll just put up this one photo for now. I’ll include lots more photos and video from the night in the NSD end-of-year video.

Here’s to the next 10 years and beyond!! 🥂🎉

R.I.P DOLLY ❤❤❤

I know my social feed is full of amazing tributes to Dolly Parton, so yours probably is too. I won’t repeat it all, except to say that we have lost an incredible songwriter, performer, activist, philanthropist — and all-round beautiful human being. ❤️

So, as a little celebration of Dolly’s amazing legacy, I’ve pulled 9 to 5 out of the NSD vault and given her a complete makeover — big hair, long nails, girls up, red lips… the works! 💃🍨🍨💋✨

And we’ll be dancing to Dolly in all of our upcoming NSD classes!

If you’re keen to dance tonight (Thursday 27 August), don’t forget the change of venue!

Hi everyone

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to our annual pyjama class, or who donated pyjamas. It was so much fun for a great cause.

Thank you to the amazing Kate Ridley and family for all the work they put into their annual pyjama drive, and thank you for letting the Never Stop Dancing community be a part of this wonderful initiative.

Kate and family delivered over 100 pairs of PJs to the Wellington City Mission and the Wellington Women's House, where they were happily received, just in time for the freezing weather.

I have shared a group photo from the class, as well as some photos of some of the PJs collected.

Thanks again for everyone who joined in.

NSD PYJAMA CLASS - THIS SUNDAY - WEAR YOUR PJs FOR A GOOD CAUSE 😆

Hi everyone

This Sunday (28 June 2026) we are doing our annual NSD Pyjama Class in conjunction with the amazing Kate Ridley & family ... yippee!

Wear your PJs (optional), and bring along a pack of new kids' or adults' winter pyjamas (also optional). The amazing Kate will make sure all the donated PJs get to the Wellington City Mission or the Wellington Women's House.

Class is at the usual time and place: 10am, Mt Cook School Gym, 160 Tory St, Te Aro. If you can't make it on Sunday, but wish to donate, just bring your new kids' or adults PJs to class this week or next.

Dance your socks off (or is it your slippers 🤣), and help someone in need be a little bit more cosy this winter!

I cannot believe that Never Stop Dancing is turning 10 years old this year ... woohoo!!!

We will be celebrating with an extra special 10th BIRTHDAY PARTY on the night of FRIDAY 4 SEPTEMBER 2026!

So, pop that date in your diary📆, and if anyone else in your life suggests another event for that evening, just say: "I won't be able to make it sorry ... I will be DANCING!!!"

The amazing Melanie (NSD regular), who is a cancer researcher & scientist, is doing the Relay for Life to raise money for the Cancer Society. Melanie is planning on dancing her way around the course, and asked if I could share her fundraiser with you all:

"Kia ora - I'm Melanie, a NSD Sunday morning regular, and I am a cancer researcher and scientist. On May 30-31 I will be dancing around the Relay for Life relay track all night to support the Cancer Society. They provide support, advocacy and research to improve outcomes for people affected by cancer, and I'm hitting the track in my dancing shoes to support them.
