Whanganui Collegiate School Cricket Marist Cricket Club Wanganui

From strong performances in Premier 1 cricket, to representing Whanganui with distinction in the Furlong Cup, Connor has continued to show the quality and consistency that mark him as one of the region’s standout up-and-coming players.

His efforts have also been recognised with Central Districts Under-19 selection, highlighting the work he has put into developing his game.

To cap off a fantastic season, Connor has now been named Central Districts U19 Player of the Year, an outstanding achievement and a testament to the impact he has made across the season.

Congratulations Connor on a remarkable year. We’re proud to see a Cricket Whanganui player performing at this level and representing the region so well.

A special acknowledgement also to Connor’s family, coaches, and the many people who have supported him along the way.

Achievements like this are always built on the strength of the community around our players.

The 2026 edition of the PAK’nSAVE Cup was a fantastic showcase of skill, teamwork, and enjoyment across the Cricket Whanganui region.

Seven teams competed in this year’s tournament, each bringing passion, determination, and a strong desire to succeed, making for an outstanding event.

A huge congratulations to Awa City CC on being crowned the 2026 PAK’nSAVE Cup Champions, a well deserved achievement. 🏆

We also extend our sincere thanks to our groundsman, Stu, whose hard work and dedication in preparing quality pitches and facilities made it possible to deliver such a successful tournament. Thank you to all the umpires who officiated throughout the competition.

As always a massive thank you to PAK'nSAVE Whanganui for the gazebo's, prizes, photo frame, and continued sponsorship of this competition.

T16 Festival Day 2026 🏏

We are delighted to announce that our T16 Festival Day will take place this Thursday, April 2nd. This year's competition will be battled out by Cullinane College , Whanganui High School, and Rangitīkei College!

PAK'nSAVE CUP 2026 🏏🏆

We are pleased to announce our annual PAK'nSAVE Intermediate Cup will be this Wednesday, April 1st. Teams will battle it out at Victoria Park from 9am for the reputable PAK'nSAVE Cup. Best of luck to all the teams involved!

Cricket Whanganui is excited to announce the return of our Girls Smash programme this March!
Join us at Victoria Park on March 10th, 17th, and 24th from 4:00pm for three fun filled sessions designed especially for girls in Years 3–8.
Girls Smash is perfect for those who are brand new to cricket, as well as current players who want to develop their skills in a fun, supportive, and low-pressure environment. All playing equipment is provided, and most importantly, we use soft balls that are safe and easy to hit out of the park!
Games run for no longer than 45 minutes, making it easy to fit in alongside other activities.
