Fortune FC Mourns the Passing of the Mother of Our Media Officer

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that Fortune Football Club announces the passing of the beloved mother of our Media Officer, Mr. Ebrima Mbaye, who returned to her Creator earlier today.

On behalf of the President, Executive Committee, players, technical staff, supporters, and the entire Fortune FC family, we extend our deepest condolences to Ebrima Mbaye and his entire family during this difficult time. Ebrima has served the club with dedication, professionalism, and commitment, and we stand in solidarity with him as he mourns this irreplaceable loss.

We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, accepts her good deeds, and grants her the highest place in Jannatul Firdaws. May He also grant Brother Ebrima, his family, and loved ones patience, strength, and comfort during this period of grief.

The burial is scheduled for today, Thursday, 6th August 2026, at 5:00 pm in Kerewan Samba Sira (CRR). We kindly request everyone to remember the deceased and the bereaved family in your prayers.

May Allah (SWT) grant her eternal peace. Ameen.

Our two young stars, Dawda Sankareh and Bubacarr Badjie, have departed for Ukraine to undergo trials with FC Dynamo Kyiv.

While on their route, they met with our Club President and Head Coach in Istanbul as our U-16 team returned from the Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Coach Jane Joof Named June Coach of the Month ⛽️💚🤍

A remarkable end to the 2025/26 Gambia Football Federation Men’s Division One League season has seen Fortune Football Club’s Head Coach, Jane Joof, deservedly crowned Coach of the Month for June 2026.

Coach Joof guided the Petroleum Boys to an outstanding finish, recording five consecutive victories in the closing stages of the campaign to secure second place behind league champions Medina United.

The prestigious award was presented today to Fortune FC Team Manager on behalf of Coach Jane Joof.

Congratulations to Coach Jane Joof on this well-deserved recognition. Your leadership, dedication, and commitment have been instrumental in Fortune FC’s impressive campaign. Here’s to even greater success in the seasons ahead.
