In November 2024 we submitted an application To Badlands 2025.

Weeks later an email appeared in the inbox.

“Hi and welcome to the VI edition of BADLANDS.”

That was it. No confetti. No fanfare. Just one line—and suddenly we were in.

This is the start of our own journey tackling Badlands and now you can read it all at our website! 😃🙌🏼

Around midnight we finally were out of the desert and enter the party town of Gor❤️🙌🏼 the local people cheering us on and we arrived to the pub for some rest and a real meal!

I was totally broken here… 😂✌🏼 I lay down at the pub, order us some food and drinks. The world was spinning more than usual and I had to go to the bathroom and try to throw up but i didn’t had anything to throw up 😅

Ate some fries and some meat but my body needed more energy, even if I was super down energy wise we were still about to counting through the night!

So we head over to the supermarket, I found some chocolate, bananas, oatbars, Coca Cola and candy. I think the chocolate was my saving together with the banan and of course a lot of water. Leaving Gor around 1:30 am, taking on the highest elevation of the route and let me say, it was a cold night 😅😅😅

Into the night and out of the deserts!

Around ten a clock the sun went down behind the beautiful horizon and it was time to light our lamps! 🙌🏼

Finally some nice temperatures again, even if my brain and body was totally destroyed from the day it was a relief. Now I could breathe again and try to actually recover!

Finally some air con and cold drinks! The hottest hours of the day was over and it wasn’t a second to late!
My body where still a mess from the heat but thinking of the cool night was good motivation and the thinking of riding in the night where exacting so the energy was there even if it wasn’t a lot 😂👌🏼

We started the climb strong but soon we realised that we didn’t had the day 😂✌🏼 walking the most of the first challenge but it didn’t get to us as we get to the top we continue in the Spanish heat! 🔥🔥🔥

The start goes of and we said goodbye to Granada town for now and se you soon again!

We started almost immediately with a 2 hour long climb, the fast men and woman was flying up the mountain and we more normal people took the climbing in it’s time, enjoying that the adventure had begun and embracing the moments!

Happy to do this crazy stuff with my brother from another mother, 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

We had done our preparations as good as we could, hard when you don’t know what to expect but at least we felt confident and sure about our bikes and our gear! So off we went, 8:00, Granada, 820 km togo and around 15000 m to climb 😅👌🏼

Where to start about this adventure?!
Let’s start the day before the big start of this year, the start of 2025!

What I didn’t know was that 3 days later i would do the same climbing but then with 3 days of cycling in my legs! 😂🙌🏼
