Enzo picked up his second podium of the GB4 season by finishing third in the first race of the weekend at Oulton Park.

🗣️ ”A good and solid race. I started third and finished third. I was feeling good in the beginning but then I made a mistake and dropped a wheel off the track and lost contact with the leaders. After that it was very hard to catch back up. I just tried to look after the tyres and bring it home.

”Good to begin the weekend on the podium and I’m looking forward to the next two races.”

The field now takes a day off on Sunday before resuming racing on Monday for the final two races of the meeting.

Enzo overcomes qualifying scare at Oulton Park

🏁 Qualifying: P3 / P3

Enzo ducked a potentially disastrous qualifying outcome as he recovered from a steering wheel issue and extensive yellow flags to seal double P3 slots on the grid for the opening two GB4 races of the weekend at Oulton Park.

🗣️ "I'm just happy to get the laps in. I had a steering wheel which died at the beginning, so I was stuck in sixth gear and had to come into the pits with a black screen, so I didn't know my speed. I didn't know anything; the pit limiter didn't work, so completely dead. I came in, switched on a new steering wheel, came out and there were yellow flags everywhere, and I couldn't get a lap in. I think I was P13 for nearly the whole session, and then I got lucky [that] the yellow flag clears. I got two laps in the end which put me P3. I couldn't have gone faster as I missed the peak of the tyres, but one tenth off pace is still good and we are really strong for the race.

"I think we had the pace to get on pole, just a bit unlucky with the steering wheel and that stuff. I'm looking forward to the races."

Race 1 takes place at 🇬🇧15.00 / 🇸🇪16.00 and is streamed live on the GB4 Championship website and YouTube channel.

Test days completed. ☑️ Second fastest overall and a very good feeling in the car. Been up there all way through and learned some interesting things for the rest of the weekend. Let's push tomorrow in qualifying! 👊🏻
