🥊 FOTW: RHYTHM & TEMPO CONTROL — TERENCE CRAWFORD STYLE
This week, we’re taking inspiration from Terence Crawford and his ability to control the rhythm of a fight, disrupt timing, and keep opponents guessing.
It’s not always about being faster — it’s about knowing when to slow down, when to pause, and when to suddenly accelerate.
This week, we’ll be working on:
🥊 Varying the speed and timing of the jab
⏱️ Establishing rhythm, then breaking it
🎯 Using pauses and feints to create reactions
⚡ Changing tempo within combinations
🛡️ Staying relaxed, balanced, and ready to reset
The goal? Make your opponent fight at your pace, not theirs.
Own the pace. Break the pattern.

🥊 FOTW: PRESSURE & AGGRESSION — GENNADY GOLOVKIN STYLE
This week, we’re taking inspiration from Gennady Golovkin (GGG) and his trademark ability to apply relentless pressure without sacrificing control.
Effective pressure isn’t about charging forward. It’s about taking away space, cutting off the ring, and forcing your opponent to react on your terms — all while staying balanced and defensively responsible.
This week, we’ll be working on:
🥊 Moving forward behind a strong jab
👣 Cutting the ring instead of chasing
🎯 Mixing body and head attacks
🛡️ Staying composed and defensively sound
⚡ Applying pressure while remaining balanced
The goal is simple: pressure with purpose.
Take away the space. Stay patient. Stay ready.

🥊 FOTW: COUNTER PUNCHING — DMITRY BIVOL STYLE
This week, we’re taking inspiration from Dmitry Bivol and his composed, precise approach to counter punching.
Rather than chasing the counter, the focus is on seeing the attack first, making a small defensive adjustment, and responding immediately — all while staying balanced and in control.
This week, we’ll be working on:
👀 Reading attacks and staying patient
🛡️ Parry, slip or block → clean counter
🥊 Using the jab to control range and create reactions
⚡ Countering quickly without loading up
↩️ Finishing with a pivot, step-out or reset
The key is simple: stay composed, see the opening, and make your response count.
Make them miss. Make them pay. Then get out safely.

🥊 FOTW: INSIDE FIGHTING — SHAWN PORTER STYLE
This week, we’re taking inspiration from Shawn Porter, known for his relentless pressure, physical inside game, and ability to work effectively at close range.
Inside fighting isn’t about rushing in and throwing wildly. It’s about closing the distance safely, controlling your position, and landing short, effective punches while staying balanced and protected.
This week, we’ll be working on:
🥊 Short hooks, uppercuts & body shots
🎯 Closing the space with purpose
🛡️ Head & hand positioning
⚡ Controlled pressure and clean exits
The goal? Get comfortable in the pocket without losing your shape or smothering your own work.
Get close. Stay controlled. Work.

🥊 FOTW for this week: JAB CONTROL
This week, we’re taking inspiration from one of boxing’s greatest jab specialists—Thomas Hearns.
Known for his lightning-fast jab and exceptional reach, Hearns used his lead hand to do more than score points. He controlled distance, dictated the pace, disrupted his opponents’ rhythm, and created openings for powerful combinations.
You will see our coaches working on:
🎯 Controlling distance with the jab
⚡ Developing speed, accuracy, and snap
🥊 Setting up attacks behind the jab
🛡️ Recovering to guard after every punch
Remember:
Control with the Jab. Everything Starts Behind It.
