No April Fool joke! It’s true.
1 April 2026 is a date I will not forget.
I stood there watching St. Andrew’s Secondary School take on Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) in the B Division rugby final.
And on that day, Saints defeated ACS(I) to become champions.
But it was never just about the score.
Every tackle, every carry, every moment on that field carried years of training, sacrifice, and belief.
When the final whistle blew, something inside me broke.
Not weakness.
But pride.
Because what I witnessed was not just a team winning.
It was a brotherhood proving itself.
One system. One identity. One family.
Unbroken.
That day reminded me why rugby is different.
It is not just about skill.
It is about heart, unity, and the willingness to stand together when it matters most.
Respect to both teams.
But on that day, Saints showed what it truly means to be a team.
Ending this sharing with a line from our Saints’ School Song:
“Hearts courageous scorn defeat”
