Dear parents , Coaching your children during the March Badminton Camp from the 16th to 19th has been a truly rewarding experience. We deeply appreciate the trust parents have placed in Astar Badminton Lab to develop your children’s badminton skills. Throughout the camp, our focus extended beyond technical training to fostering positive values and a strong sportsmanship mindset. Witnessing the players’ growth both on and off the court has been inspiring.

We would also like to sincerely thank Mr Ng, co-founder of Fernvale Village, for his invaluable support in creating a fantastic training environment for the players. Additionally, our gratitude goes to Mr Madhu for diligently maintaining cleanliness in the training area before each session, ensuring a comfortable space for everyone. Not forgetting All Our Destiny Pte Ltd for their generous sponsorship, which made this camp possible.

Day 3 of the badminton camp focused on enhancing shuttle footwork, practicing with multiple shuttles, and developing game play strategies. The session began with shuttle footwork drills designed to improve agility, speed, and positioning on the court. Participants practiced quick directional changes, lunges, and recovery steps to ensure they could reach the shuttle efficiently during rallies.

Following the footwork drills and multiple shuttle sets. This involved feeding several shuttles in rapid succession to players, challenging their reaction time, stamina, and shot accuracy. The fast pace of this drill helped simulate real match conditions and improved players’ ability to maintain focus and control under pressure.

In the latter part of the camp, emphasis was placed on game play strategy. Players learned how to construct points by combining offensive and defensive shots, exploiting opponents’ weaknesses, and managing shot placement. Tactical discussions included when to play drop shots, smashes, and clears, as well as positioning to anticipate returns.

Reflecting on the day, players noted significant improvements in their footwork and endurance. The multiple shuttle drills were challenging but rewarding, pushing their limits and sharpening their reflexes. The strategic insights gained were valuable, providing a clearer understanding of how to approach matches thoughtfully rather than relying solely on power or speed. Overall, Day 3 was a productive step toward becoming more well-rounded badminton players.

Players engaged in a series of rigorous drills and multiple shuttles , pushing their skills and endurance to new levels. Despite the sweltering heat, the players demonstrated remarkable determination and resilience, with most completing the demanding 20-minute running session that wrapped up the day’s activities. The commitment and hard work displayed by the Astar Badminton Lab players were commendable, reflecting their dedication to improving their game. Well done to all participants for their effort and perseverance throughout this challenging day. .1708

The team battled fiercely to secure the top spot in the group. Despite occasional performances below expectations, they successfully advanced past the group stage. Draws have worked to our advantage. Together, team, let’s make this happen. As I mentioned, when we achieve what we desire, it provides us with clear direction; when we don’t, it offers us protection.
