We intentionally kept this quiet while we poured countless hours into transforming the facility and building something truly special for our students, families, and the Amarillo martial arts community. What started as a vision has turned into something we are incredibly proud of.

Over the past several months we have been nonstop working on renovations, upgrades, remodeling, and creating an atmosphere that reflects exactly who we are at Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts — hard work, discipline, growth, family, and elite training.

Looking for a fun, structured activity that helps your child build confidence, discipline, and respect?

At Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts, our Little Ninjas program is specifically designed for children ages 3–5 years old! Your child will learn:

Our classes are energetic, positive, and designed to help young children succeed both on and off the mats.

Today we traveled to AGF Lubbock to compete, and I couldn’t be more proud of our team from Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts.

We had 4 competitors step onto the mats today: Manny, Raul, Jarett, and Stephen. These guys put in the hard work, dedication, and preparation leading up to this tournament, and it showed. We left the competition with 3 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal! 🥇🥇🥇🥈

After the tournament, we gathered for a podium picture, and I had the distinct honor of promoting two incredible athletes for their hard work, perseverance, and growth in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Congratulations to Manuel Navarrete on earning his Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! 🔵
And congratulations to Jarett Determan on earning his Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! 🟣

These promotions are not given lightly. They are earned through countless hours on the mats, discipline, sacrifice, and determination. I’m extremely proud of both of them and proud of our entire team for representing Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts with heart, humility, and toughness today.

The future is bright for this team. Let’s keep growing and grinding. 💪

Tonight the team from Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts had an awesome time at a cross training session with the crew at Lone Star Academy 💪

Both our kids class and adult class made the trip over, and we had the opportunity to train with Professor Matt, Professor Spencer, and all of their students. The atmosphere was amazing, the rounds were tough, and everyone had a blast learning, growing, and sharpening their skills together.

Experiences like this are what martial arts is all about — building relationships, pushing each other to improve, and growing together on and off the mats.

Huge thank you to everyone at Lonestar Academy for having us. We truly appreciate the hospitality and look forward to the next cross training session! 👊🔥

🔥 BIG NEWS – WELCOME COACH LANDON HELMS 🔥

We’re proud to officially announce that Coach Landon Helms has joined the coaching staff at Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts as an Assistant Coach!

Coach Landon has been training with us for the past few years and has already made a huge impact on our team. Many of you have seen him helping out in both our kids and adult classes—always stepping up, always leading by example.

He brings a strong combination of knowledge, humility, and respect to the mats, and he’s the type of teammate who is always willing to help others grow. That mindset is exactly what Hybrid Kombat is all about.

We’re confident that Coach Landon is going to be an incredible addition to our coaching staff and play a big role in continuing to build our team, our culture, and our future.

Bubba's 33 will be hosting a fundraiser dinner for Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts, and we would love for our students, families, friends, and community to come out and support the academy.

Bubba’s 33 will donate 10% of all sales from guests who mention they are there for the Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts fundraiser!

This fundraiser will help us raise funds for:

🥋 Scholarships and sponsorships for underprivileged students
🥋 New training equipment for our academy

🔥 Big Weekend at Hybrid Kombat Martial Arts! 🔥

This past Friday, we held Hybrid Kombat Kenpo testing, and we’re proud to say that several of our kids and adult students ranked up. These promotions were earned through discipline, consistency, and hard work on the mats. Watching our students grow—both in skill and confidence—is what it’s all about.

Then on Saturday, we had the honor of promoting Gary Helms to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt 🟦🥋. This is a major milestone in any jiu-jitsu journey, and Gary has put in the time, effort, and dedication to earn it the right way. Well deserved!

We couldn’t be more proud of every student who stepped up this weekend. Keep showing up, keep grinding, and keep becoming better than yesterday.
