Jansen and Howard, former Michigan football teammates, take a detailed look at why the Michigan offensive line hasn’t consistently created running lanes despite returning experience and talent. Jansen explains what he sees from an offensive lineman’s perspective—from communication and technique to blocking schemes, loaded boxes and the relationship between the offensive line and running backs.

John Wangler: Playing QB for Bo Schembechler & Michigan Football | Legends of The Big House!

Former Michigan Football quarterback Johnny Wangler joins Legends of The Big House to tell the story of his journey from Royal Oak, Michigan, to playing quarterback for Bo Schembechler and the Michigan Wolverines.

Wangler takes us inside his football career—from his days at Shrine High School and the recruiting process that brought him to Michigan, to position changes, injuries, adversity and ultimately becoming part of Michigan Football history.

What was it really like playing for Bo Schembechler? Wangler shares stories from inside the Michigan program, the culture that defined those Wolverine teams and the teammates and coaches who shaped his career. He also reflects on battling back from a serious knee injury, competing at quarterback and the experiences that helped shape his approach to leadership long after his playing days ended.

This conversation goes beyond the statistics. It’s the story of perseverance, humility, teammates supporting one another and what it meant to play Michigan Football during one of the most memorable eras in program history.
