November’s calendar may look a little lighter, but there’s still a lot happening at AVNK. Here are some important dates and reminders!

🏆 NCKA FINALS
📆 Sunday, November 15th
📍 Hopkins, MN
Last tournament of the 2026 season! Check in with Mrs. G if you have any questions.

🥋 SCREENING #3 (brown belts ONLY)
📆 Friday, November 20th at 6:30pm
📍 Eden Prairie National Karate

🥋 ADVANCED SCREENING (black belts ONLY)
📆 Saturday, November 21st at 1:00pm
📍 Eden Prairie National Karate
❗️Candidates must bring their partners to the screening

🥋 NOVEMBER MONTHLY EXAM
📆 Saturday, November 21st
⚠️ There will be a modified schedule with no regular classes after 10:45
Exam list will be posted in the office and by the white board by the end of this week. Check to see if you are testing!

🦃 THANKSGIVING BREAK
⚠️ We will be closed Thursday, November 26th - Saturday, November 28th for Thanksgiving!

🚨 NO REGULAR CLASSES AFTER 10:45 THIS SATURDAY 🚨

Our October Monthly Exam is this Saturday, the 24th. Please note that we will have a modified schedule with no regular classes after 10:45am.

🥋 9:45am - Little Masters Class
🥋 10:15am - Youth Beginner Class
🔔 10:45am - Beginner & Intermediate Exam (gold-red stripes)
🔔 11:45am - Advanced Exam (red and up)

❗️Advanced exam students: sparring gear is required!
‼️ Brown belts screening for the December black belt exam: attendance is required!

We have busy month ahead at AVNK! Here are some important dates and reminders for October:

🥋UPCOMING SCREENING (TODAY!!)
📆 Thursday, October 1st at 7pm
📍 Cottage Grove National Karate
All brown and black belts screening for the December Exam must attend. Bring fully uniform, sparring gear and water bottle.

🏆 DIAMOND NATIONALS
📆 October 8-10
📍DoubleTree in Bloomington (off Hwy 494 & Hwy 100)
⚠️ AVNK will be CLOSED Friday October 9th and Saturday October 10th while our students and staff are at the tournament.

📚 MEA Weekend - we will be open!
📆 Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th

🥋 OCTOBER MONTHLY EXAM
📆 Saturday, October 24th
⏰ 10:45 am - Beginner and Intermediate Exam

🍎 SEPTEMBER MONTHLY EXAM 🍎

Our first Saturday exam was a huge success! 👏

Everyone showed up ready to work, and were really proud of the effort everyone has been putting in 💪

Even our students getting ready for screenings showed up for a good workout!
