A suit for a Herreshoff Watch Hill headed out the door. This design is from the 1920’s. We employ the same construction techniques, taking care to match that era’s style in the sail number, too!

15 years ago Tom (mostly Tom) and I and our community built our shop. Our kids were 2 and 4 and we had no employment that summer and fall. No bank would lend us money but a chance meeting with a neighbor resulted in a loan. Neighbors showed up with tools we needed without asking. Tom built the walls and cut out the rafters, and our friends came over to help put them up and share lunch or dinner with us. We could not have done it without our awesome community of sailors and their families. ❤️

Maine’s 1607 replica VIRGINIA and MAYFLOWER II participating in Sail250. Virginia has a full suit of sails from our loft and Mayflower II sports our main, main topsl and mizzen. Thank you to Captain JB Smith and crew for the photos!!

2 suits of Herreshoff 12 1/2 sails headed for boats the International Yacht Restoration School has been working on this winter. This design is from 1914. The first 20 boats were built over the winter of 1914-25. They sold for $420 each😳

Justice for Troy!

A joyous day will occur on 5-9-2026 Troy Nataniel Ingram, the Last Privateer, will be celebrated in Foultondale, Alabama, his home town church.

An Eagle Scout, Son, Brother, Uncle, Shipmate, Tall Ship Sailor, Inspiration to all that are Make Belive, Gentle Soul, who was taken from his family, shipmates, and Islands, Nantucket and St Simons.
