Whoops! Forgot a race update!
Road America Race #2
Not much to report. Out of a tough group of 16 karts, we ran smack dab in the middle at P8 for qualifying and all 3 races. We are still struggling to find speed, but we know we'll get there πβ‘οΈπ§
Thank you sponsors!

π IMPROMPTU SUNDAY RECAP π
Three full days of racing this past weekend!
Two days were planned, but a last-minute decision had us loading back up and heading to our home track, Little Buckaroo Jr Motorsports Park operated by Little Buckaroo Karting on Sunday. We may be a little crazy and definitely exhausted, but Landon was ready for the challenge.
The track was extremely slick, and the competition was the toughest we've faced yet this season with 9 karts in attendance.

SWEEP! π§Ή
To make things even more interesting, we had to convert the kart from Maxxis race rules back to local track rules after arriving at the track. Thanks to everyone's help, we got everything changed over and made it to practice just in time!
Weekends like this take a lot of effort behind the scenes, but seeing Landon continue to rise to the occasion against strong competition makes every late night and long drive worth it.
Now it's time for some weekly maintenance, a thorough cleaning, and maybe... just maybe... a little rest. ππ§π
It seems like we've already been racing a ton, but work schedules are officially changed and we're ready to get in full swing with the official start of our 2x/week local summer racing!
Please support the businesses that support our racing program. When you're in the market for their services, give our 2026 partners a call!

π Most people need a day off after race weekend. We added another race day instead.
Are we crazy? π€ͺ

What a fun weekend!
We rolled into Iowa on Friday with sunshine and a beautiful day for practice. Landon took a little time getting comfortable on the tiny bowl-style track again, but improved every session he went out. We also got plenty of downtime to hang out with friends before it was time to lock into race mode on Saturday. βοΈ
Race Day: 16 karts in each class
Junior 1 Heavy Qualifying P9 π
π§ RAIN DELAY π§
Junior 1 Prelude Qualifying P6 πͺ
Junior 1 Pro Qualifying We were supposed to be the first kart on track... but Dad didn't get us to the grid in time. π¬π€¦ββοΈ That meant starting DEAD LAST.
Lesson learned.
After that little mishap, Mom earned a promotion to Tire Gal and got to spend the rest of the day hanging out with the tire guys in the trailer while Dad handled other kart duties. We may have found the permanent solution. πππ
With more rain in the forecast, officials reversed the race order:
β‘ Junior 1 Pro Started P16 (β‘οΈ seemed fitting π)
Passing can be tough here, so Landon knew he had major work to do, without wrecking anything in the process. He was a little too patient during the opening laps but kept working forward all race long, fighting his way from 16th to 9th. π
β‘ Junior 1 Prelude Started P6
Halfway through Lap 1, two karts got together in front of him. Landon got trapped behind the incident and then clipped a disc while trying to sneak underneath the chaos. After some hard-fought battles throughout the race, he crossed the line in P9.
π§ RAIN DELAY π§
β‘ Junior 1 Heavy Would have started P9, but Mother Nature had other plans and the weather won this round.
Not our strongest performance (some frustrations seeing all the missed opportunities in the race videos), but hey... it was still better than the last travel race! π
The results weren't everything we hoped for, but the memories sure were. We had an amazing weekend with our race family and are thankful for every minute of it. We were all hot, sweaty, wet, and SOO dirty throughout the weekend, showing the true commitment to this sport.
A huge thank you to Quaintance Motorsports always for the hospitality and Laukaitis Racing Inc for the tire assistance all weekend long. We couldn't do it without you!
And finally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Brittney Quaintance! π«Ά We hope you had the best day celebrating at the track.
We can't thank those sponsors enough!

Winning happens long before the green flag drops.
Most people see the trophies, checkered flags, and podium photos.
What they don't see are the late nights in the garage, the endless notebook pages, the setup changes, the scaling sessions, and the countless small adjustments made in pursuit of one more tenth of a second.
Last night, Landon "Lightning" Boldt β‘οΈ strapped into the #16 while we dial in every detail for Maxxis Race #2 at Newton Kart Klub.
Because race day isn't where winners are madeβit's where all the preparation gets tested.
The scales don't lie. The stopwatch doesn't care. The details matter.
On to Iowa. πβ‘οΈ
