🥊🦁 WHAT’S UP, EVERYBODY! 🦁🥊

Lions Boxing Club coming to you today — and today is a BIG day. A little bittersweet, but we’re proud to send one of our own off on a new journey.

Today, we’re sending off Romeo as he heads to the National Guard. 🇺🇸 He’ll be gone for about five months, and then he’ll be back with us!

Romeo is family, and we want to give him a proper send-off before he leaves. ❤️

If you want to see Romeo before he heads out, stop by the gym today! Let’s get him right before he goes and show him some LBC love.

Everybody is welcome! Come through, say see you later, and let’s send our brother off the right way.

My boy Nathan “Ese” Rosales walked away with some great knowledge from this fight.

His opponent has 8 fights and this was Nathan’s 2nd!!! I can’t say how impressed I am with Nathan’s composure in the ring with a more seasoned boxer.

If you guys don’t know, Nathan is one of our Adult competitors… now keep in mind, my ADULTS all work typically a MINIMUM of 40hrs a week, and I mean minimum…

Yet, all of them, and this guy always find time to make it to their classes and even open gyms! 💪🏽

My hats off to to you Ese, he moves nice in the ring, and this is only the beginning for Nathan, we promise you that!

We were supposed to have 6 on the card, unfortunately weight is an issue with some gyms…

Here is my “old man” speech 🤣…

Back in my day, we made sure we were on weight because we didn’t want to deal with our coaches repercussions… we ran on the highway on the way to shows, spit all the way.. (chewing gum and spitting out the juice and saliva)

Coaches need to keep their eyes on their boxers weights, so we can ensure these “matches” actually take place…

If you sign up to fight at a certain weight, be at that weight. Your family team and your opponent are counting on you for a show, don’t show them that you can’t make weight for a scheduled match….
