This weekend didn’t end the way we wanted, but if you watched this team, you know the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story.
Our girls were tested all weekend against some very tough competition, finishing 0-4. They got knocked down, battled through big deficits, answered back, and never stopped competing. That’s what we’re building. That’s what Havoc softball is all about.
💜 A huge THANK YOU to our pickup player, Brylie, for joining our team this weekend.
🥎 We also want to recognize Yaretzie as she played her final tournament in a Havoc uniform before moving up to 12U. Watching you grow as both a player and teammate has been incredible. Thank you for everything you and your family have given this team. We know you’re going to do amazing things at the next level, and you’ll always be part of the Havoc family. Once Havoc, always Havoc. 💜
🎉 And finally… everyone help us wish Alana a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY today! We hope your day is as awesome as you are!
There were plenty of bright spots this weekend:
🔥 We never quit fighting, including battling back from a 5-run deficit and nearly completing the comeback.
🔥 We out-hit one opponent 7-5.
🔥 We saw big offensive performances from Charlotte, Brooklyn, Brylie, Vada, Bristol, Nayeli, and so many others throughout the weekend.
This game has a way of humbling you, but it also has a way of revealing character. These girls chose to keep learning, keep encouraging each other, and keep fighting until the final out.
The wins will come, we have seen it!
We’re proud of every one of these girls, thankful for our coaches, and incredibly grateful to our parents and Havoc family for sticking with us through every inning.
We’ll learn from it.
We’ll get better.
We’ll be back.
