Summer Scribes: Campamento de Escritura para Preadolescentes
Summer Scribes es un campamento de escritura de verano diseñado para inspirar la creatividad de los estudiantes justo antes del inicio del nuevo año escolar. A través de textos modelo y actividades de taller de escritura, los participantes aprenderán diferentes técnicas utilizadas por los autores. Habrá apoyo para todo tipo de escritores: desde quienes ya disfrutan escribir hasta quienes necesitan un poco más de motivación para descubrirse como escritores. El campamento concluirá con un coloquio donde los estudiantes podrán compartir sus trabajos finales con su nueva comunidad de escritores y con familiares o amigos que deseen asistir.

Summer Scribes is a summer writing camp to get your tweens’ writing juices flowing just in time for the start of the school year. This camp will use mentor texts to teach the author’s craft using a writer’s workshop model. We will have support for all sorts of writers: those who love to write to those who may need some encouragement in seeing themselves as writers. We will hold a coffeeshop hour for students to share a final piece for their newly formed writing community and any supporters who’d like to attend.
