Not the way we wanted to close it out, but I absolutely cannot wait to see what is in store for the future of this club! it’s in your hands now!

The FINAL Senior Spotlight 🎓🎉

Peyton has been a member of the Spike Dawgs for 4 years. He is the final, 3 out of 3, Spike Dawg graduating that has been apart of the team all four years. Over the past few years, Peyton has built an incredible reputation within the College Roundnet and USA Roundnet scene. During his first year on the team, Peyton was not active on the team and came close to quitting. But after playing a fun tournament with Jeremy Lee in Huntsville, Peyton was absolutely hooked to the game and caught the Roundnet bug.

Peyton played a vital role on the Spike Dawgs as a leader, teammate, and friend. Peyton was devoted to rebuilding the Spike Dawgs and returning its reputation and status to its glory days in 2019. Peyton was always one of the first people to push you to believe in yourself, strive for excellence, and be confident in your game. He was also an amazing friend/teammate who would always be down to have a chat with and hangout with you. During Peyton’s tenure with the Spike Dawgs, he also created sick social media content with teams such as Goldman Stacks (w/Justin Goldman), Crockpot (w/ Harrison Baisden), and Bro Code (w/ Andrew Yancey). From all the success Peyton has brought to this team, to his random zoomies where he yells “CHUD CHUD CHUD” in Airbnbs, Peyton is an irreplaceable dawg that will be dearly missed.

Peyton is now a 6 time D1 sectional champion, 2 time PRA Elite Player, D1 3rd place at 2025 College Nationals, 2025 College All-American, 2025 Men’s College Spikeball Player of the Year, 2025 USA Pro, 2 time captain for the Spike Dawgs, back to back Team MVP, and most recently, a USA Team Selection Camp Member.

We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for Peyton as he plans to work for a Nonprofit Organization in Atlanta!

Congratulations Peyton & thank you for all you’ve done during your time as a Spike Dawg🐶

The fifth Senior Spotlight 🎓🎉

Jeremy has been a member of the Spike Dawgs for 4 years. He is 2 out of 3 Spike Dawgs graduating that have been apart of the team all four years. Ever since Jeremy saw Patric Chu’s reverse touch ace on ESPN, he was destined to join the club. He spent most of his freshman year trying to learn how to hit a cut & reverse serve, all while sporting his famous visor. Over the years, Jeremy improved tremendously & become a cornerstone of the team. Jeremy was the best teammate and friend you could ever ask for. Cracking jokes, reviewing film, booking team Air BnBs— you always knew you could count on him. We’ll miss his infectious energy and tenacity that only few have ever showed. Jeremy is simply a DGD!

Jeremy is a multi D2 sectional champion and also a D2 Runner Up at 2024 College Nationals. Jeremy made his first appearance on D1 UGA Black this year, going undefeated on A line at Fall Tropic South sectionals and helping UGA win Spring Atlantic Coast sectionals. Making up half of the team, “Walmart Creamy”, Jeremy earned premier status with Colton Olvey at STS Chicago in 2024 (go check out that highlight video). Along with that, Jeremy served as the captain of Spike Dawgs, 2024-2025 ASL Squad, and the Athens Panic Pro League team.

We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for Jeremy as he enters an Underwriting graduate training program with Beazley!

Congratulations Jeremy & thank you for all you’ve done during your time as a Spike Dawg🐶

The fourth Senior Spotlight 🎓🎉

Kaleigh Wilson has been a member of the Spike Dawgs for 1 year. Kaleigh joined the team this Fall and instantly fit right in. She is an awesome vibe on net and is willing to strike up a conversation at any time. Pair her with freshman, Jenna Collins, and the duo were the easily the most talkative team (oh dear!).

Kaleigh competed in all four sectionals this year, most notably making her D1 debut on Red at the Women’s line. Some of her favorite trips included the cabin adventures to Harrisonburg & Knoxville. It’s been a pleasure seeing Kaleigh improve so quickly over the course of this season.

We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for Kaleigh as she plans to work for EPIC!

Congratulations Kaleigh & thank you for all you’ve done during your time as a Spike Dawg🐶

The third Senior Spotlight 🎓🎉

McKenna McKean has been a member of the Spike Dawgs for 4 years. She is 1 of 3 Spike Dawg seniors this year that has been apart of the team all four years. Since her freshman year, McKenna has made an immediate impact on our team. At 2023 College Nationals, McKenna played on UGA Black as a freshman. Ever since then, McKenna has played on Black at every sectional and College nationals she was in attendance for.

McKenna and best friend, Corrie Velder, formed team “Nail Salon” who won the Women’s advanced division at the 2024 STS Championship. In 2025, McKenna earned a spot on the Spikeball All-American list and was aport of the UGA Black squad that got 3rd at College Nationals. Most recently, McKenna served as a captain during the 2025-2026 season and recieved an invite to the USA Team selection camp. McKenna’s positive energy and strong leadership will be greatly missed.

We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for McKenna as she plans to move to West Virginia as a Credit Analyst for a bank.

Congratulations McKenna & thank you for all you’ve done during your time as a Spike Dawg🐶

The second Senior Spotlight 🎓🎉

Nate von der Sitt has been a member of the Spike Dawgs for 3 years. Hailing from Chicago (well… outside chicago), Nate steadily improved over his time at UGA. Nate was apart of both D2 Red Squads that finished 2nd place at College Nationals. He’s been a regular member of our D1 Black squads, putting up a near flawless record at the Coed line (undefeated at Atlantic Coast). Nate earned premier status when the Athens Panic ASL team placed 3rd in 2025 along with qualifying for Team Illinois last year. Nate’s quirky personality and infamous “Waddle” after touch acing an opponent will always be remembered. We won’t forget his crazy jokes or bag of beers that spawns at whatever function he shows up to.

We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for Nate as he plans to move back to Chicago and tell employers that he is “Open to Work”. Add him on LinkedIn ASAP.

Congratulations Nate & thank you for all you’ve done during your time as a Spike Dawg 🐶

The first Senior Spotlight 🎓🎉

Braedan Thomas has been a member of the Spike Dawgs for 3 years. After transferring from KSU, Braedan instantly became a key piece to the UGA roster. Fun fact: Braedan has only ever played on UGA Black, the Spike Dawg’s top squad. Braedan’s lefty ace to win the 2024 Spring Tropic South sectionals will be talked about for years to come. In addition to his collegiate success, Braedan was also captain of the 2024 ATL ASL squad that placed 1st in Contender, earning premier status. At the time, this win took UGA from 0 premier players to 5 premier players! Not only will he be remembered for his on net results, but also the vintage fits he threw at every hangout.

We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for Braedan as he begins his teaching career in Social Studies at Seckinger High school, along with being the JV Basketball Coach!

Congratulations Braedan & thank you for all you’ve done during your time as a Spike Dawg🐶
