We are grateful for the community that makes Ansley so special, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.

Happy Valentine’s Day Ansley 💕

February marks Black History Month, and in honor of the occasion, we’re looking back on famous black leaders, thinkers, and artists, past and present, who have left their mark on history.

Pictured above is Alfred “Tup” Holmes, the son of a golf-playing doctor who grew in his love for playing the game of golf. At age 20, he won his first of 3 negro intercollegiate championships. Two years later, he would qualify for the NCAA golf tournament, only to be turned away because of the color of his skin. It was Jim Crow who was busy shutting out black Americans from pursuing both normal daily activities and dreams, Alfred saw to it that golf courses in Atlanta would be open to Black golfers. On November 7, 1955, in the court case Holmes vs. Atlanta, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled for the desegregation of Atlanta’s public golf courses. We have Alfred to thank for this.

Many voices like Alfred’s spoke powerfully to the theme of Black History Month. Many of them evoke the image of strength and excellence.

What an honor to be awarded the U.S. Kids Top 50 Junior Golf Coach Award for the SECOND year in a row ✨

Thank you to all the juniors, parents and all that have helped make this possible. Jacob is a true leader and can’t wait to keep growing the game of golf each and every day!

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. May we continue to pursue Dr. King’s God-given dream for our nation and love for one another.

Let’s take a moment to celebrate our incredible progress, no matter how small it may seem. ✨

The Ansley Golf Club community whom has supported and participated in the 2023 - 30 year Anniversary Pro-Am has helped raise almost $190,000 for its charities, a record breaking amount in 30 years. Congratulations to Matt Grayson & Co-Chairs, Jennifer Palmer, & Andrea Bradley, for a successful event!

The three charities: Respite Care Atlanta (Dementia Support), Un-Teal There is a Cure (Ovarian Cancer), & SouthEastern Brain Tumor Foundation.

They were more than appreciative of Ansley’s generosity ✨ Pictured are Andrea (left) & Clay (right) Bradley, the 2023 Pro-Am Title Sponsors, giving the check to Charlie Battle (middle), Board Founder of Respite Care Atlanta. Charlie stated when receiving the check, “I am so overwhelmed and very thankful to Matt & his team. Respite Care Atlanta will use these funds to help with expansion, staffing, scholarship, and much more. Thank you, Ansley Golf Club”.

Our goal for 2024 is to break $200,000 and we need the collaboration of all our Ansley Members. Please save the date for the 2024 Ansley Charity Events: August 14-18, 2024. Every member will have the opportunity to MAKE A DIFFERENCE ❣️
