Goldfish Swim School - Northwest Hills Teaching kids how to swim is our passion! Goldfish is much more than a swim school. You feel it the moment you walk in. Something different. Something unexpected.

Goldfish Swim School - Northwest Hills is a state-of-the art swimming facility dedicated to teaching children as young as 4 months old. It’s more than vibrant colors chosen to inspire kids. More than a curriculum crafted to not only teach kids to swim but also to build their character through guided play. More than a shiver-free pool heated to 90 degrees. There’s something more. Something beyond typical. It’s passion. Not just a passion for kids or a passion for swimming…it’s a special passion for changing – even saving – lives by teaching kids to swim and be safer in and around the water. We use our holistic philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. In a class size of no more than 4 children to 1 swim instructor, children master the skills they need to be safer and confident in the water. Beginning as early as 4 months, children progress through a series of perpetual swimming lessons, graduating to higher levels of difficulty as swimming skills are mastered. Goldfish also offers special events like parties, Family Swim, accelerated Jump Start Clinics and our Goldfish Swim Force Team, catered to swimmers who have completed the Goldfish Pro Level. Goldfish Swim School - Northwest Hills is proud to help teach the children of the great community of Austin, Texas how to swim and be safer in the water. We encourage you to stop by for a tour of our facilities. We guarantee you’ll love it at Goldfish! To learn more, please visit www.goldfishswimschool.com.

You jumped into the Goldfish pool and suddenly… 🐠💦

We asked our team to finish the sentence, and their imaginations did NOT disappoint! 😂✨

They outgrow the tiny sandals. The swimsuits. The impossibly cute cover-ups. (Way too fast, if you ask us. 🥹)

But the skills they’re building? Those can grow right along with them. 🧡

Every kick, breath, float and pull your little fish works on today is part of becoming a stronger, more independent swimmer tomorrow.

Because learning to swim isn’t just about what they can do in this week’s lesson. It’s about building skills they can continue strengthening through every splash, swim and water-filled adventure ahead. 🌊

That’s progress worth sticking with. 🐠

“How do I know if my child is making progress in swim lessons?”

Here’s the thing: progress doesn’t always come with a new level or a ribbon. 👀

Look for the little changes, too:
🌊 Are they more comfortable in the water?
💪 Is a skill looking stronger than it did a few weeks ago?
🏊 Are they doing something with less help?
✨ Did they try something they weren’t ready to try before?

Those moments add up.

Learning to swim is a progression of skills, and sometimes the best way to see how far your kiddo has come is to look back at where they started. 🧡

Wondering what goals your swimmer is working toward? Ask their instructor about the skills they’re building now and what comes next!

Ever wonder what your child’s swim instructor is watching for? 👀

They’re watching how your swimmer moves through the water, responds to different cues, where they’re getting stronger and which skills could use a little more practice. Then, they can meet your kiddo where they are and help them work toward what comes next. 🏊

It’s what makes our curriculum so effective: skills build on one another, while our instructors help each swimmer keep progressing at their own pace. 🧡

Because the next step looks different for every swimmer, and knowing what to work on next is a big part of making progress.

Next lesson, ask your little fish: “What are you working on today?”

You might be surprised by how much they know. 😉🐠

“What if my child is scared of swim lessons?”

If your kiddo clings a little tighter before class, feels unsure about getting in or needs extra time before trying a new skill, you’re probably wondering: Should I keep going?

Feeling nervous around something new can take time to work through. That’s why progress doesn’t always look like swimming across the pool.

Sometimes progress looks like getting in the water. 💧
Putting their face in for the first time.
Trying the skill they said “no” to last week.
Or getting out of the pool saying, “I did it!” 🥹

Those small wins matter. With consistent opportunities to practice and support from their swim instructor, kiddos can work toward greater comfort and confidence at their own pace. 🧡
