We can do everything else right but if your fingers arent coming off the ball in a way that promotes the goal of getting more ride with this pitch, then we wont maximize its potential. We are thrilled to announce some fantastic new offerings at Kern Diamond Development this summer! With our expansion into a larger space, we have added more cage rentals to accommodate your practice needs. We’re also introducing an All Access Membership that gives you the flexibility and freedom to enjoy everything we have to offer.
Plus, we are launching an affordable hitting and catching instructor tailored for younger athletes who are just starting their journey in the game in Carson Moore.

Carson Moore joins Kern Diamond as a hitting and catching instructor. An incoming senior and varsity player at Highland High School, Carson focuses on foundational hitting mechanics for younger athletes and is available for in-house catching lessons. Come see him this summer at KDD!

KERN DIAMOND FACILITY UPDATE! More room ahead of the summer season! More opportunities for teams, individuals and groups looking for rental space, training resources, coaching, lessons, and camps for students over the break. Here is a breakdown of our current setup: TEAMS/RENTALS UNIT A: one full 70’ x 14’ cage with Professional Mound + Gym/Training Floor. DEVELOPMENT/TRAINING UNIT D: one full 70’ x 14’ cage + one 35’ x 12’ cage with BATA 2 pitching machine and youth training mound. After review and going to our rules official aka mom or dad, the ruling on the field is BALL. Who needs technology when we have that?!?! We love putting kids in challenging- game like scenarios in our sessions as we believe the best way to practice the game is putting yourself in those situations as much as you can.

Summertime is here and the party starts at Kern Diamond! Actually this isnt a party, its a baseball camp where we will train pitching and hitting with our trainers using video and Trackman to provide feedback and provide a competitive environment where players will get to have live at bats as a pitcher or hitter. If that is your idea of a party well then yes technically we having a party. Come join!

We're opening a second unit at our current location to provide even more indoor baseball and softball training space right here in Bakersfield.
