Aceyou Tennis for hackers. Don't waste your money on those USPTA pros who never had a real job! Hi, I’m Ace. Welcome to my page.

It’s mainly tennis focused, but, I will have some other stuff too. As far as tennis goes, I’m not going to lie to you or blow smoke up your you-know-what. I didn’t play for Stanford, didn’t travel on the pro tour, and wasn’t a ranked junior. However, 3 years ago I fulfilled a bucket list wish and got a National ranking in 65+ Singles and Doubles (Top 50 in both). Other than that, I’m just like you. A regular guy who likes to play tennis. I’ve beaten some folks I had no business being on the same court with and lost to others who I should have been able to beat in my sleep. The tips I have here aren’t going to make you play like Federer, Nadal, Williams, or any of the top pros. Don’t let anyone fool you – they got that way by playing tennis all day long with the best coaches and against the best competition. However, I’m confident that some of these tips will improve your game and make it more fun. And that’s the real point isn't it? I sometimes publish videos on YouTube - mainly tennis tips, occasionally some other stuff. Check it out at https://www.youtube.com/user/ACEYOU2006/about . I also write a blog, usually when I get ticked off about something - I get ticked off a lot - but, I’ll also link my tennis vids and some other stuff there. You can find that at https://aceyou.blogspot.com/

I'm also a retired environmental engineer. I do some consulting on the side and some freelance writing - you can see my blog here: https://environalysis.blogspot.com/

Finally, I’m married to noted vocalist, K**a Ruby. (Check her out at www.kamaruby.com)

Canva took a still picture of me following thru on a backhand (during Covid - that's why I have the mask) and turned it into a video of me hitting a topspin forehand. Note: all I asked it to do was animate the picture.)

Gotta figure out a way to make money with this blog. Google says it sucks.

Gotta figure out a way to make money with this blog. Google says it sucks.

Google won't put Ad Sense ads on my blog because it says my blog content has low value. Well, gee, what do I have to do, start putting click baiting links in here where you waste 20 minutes watching a video of me telling you how great something is, without telling you what that something is, unless....

Apologies if you already saw this on another of my pages.

Apologies if you already saw this on another of my pages.

Someone posted a story about the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday on Facebook. (I think it was someone bitching about the NFL telling the Steelers they couldn't fly to Ireland for their game against the Vikings Sunday until later in the week.)

ESPN just had a GREAT live/video tribute to my buddy Cliff Drysdale who is retiring from tennis broadcasting after this year's US Open. I was fortunate to meet him at a clinic here 15 years ago at the Laurel Glen Tennis Club. He paid me the greatest compliment when, after watching me hit forehands and backhands, he came up to me and said something like, "Well, after watching everyone here hit, I usually take them aside and give them a few suggestions/tips to improve their strokes. But, after watching you, I really haven't any improvements to suggest!"
One of THE nicest people I have ever been fortunate to meet!
