Todayโ€™s question: e-bike or motorcycle?

CORP Trails manages 20 different mountain bike trails in Southern Wisconsin, including our local Chief Naaga Keramani and Dam Trails at Alliant Energy. This will be a nice step forward for CORP Trails management, funding, and trail-building assistance.

A New Chapter Begins for CORP Trails

For nearly 30 years, CORP Trails has worked alongside riders, volunteers, land managers, and community partners to build and care for the trails we all enjoy. Today, we're excited to share the next step in that journey.

Beginning August 10, CORP Trails will manage memberships directly as an independent organization rather than a chapter member of IMBA.

This means we'll be able to keep your membership dollars supporting local trails, improve member experience, and offer new benefits through local business partners.

What isn't changing? Our mission.

We'll continue building, maintaining, and advocating for outstanding mountain bike trails throughout south-central Wisconsin. We will continue to support the important work IMBA does for mountain biking nationwide.

This is an exciting step forward for CORP Trails and for everyone who loves to ride the trails we build together.

Watch your inbox over the coming weeks as we share more about what this means for members and what to expect after August 10. Questions? Check out https://corptrails.org/membershipfaqs

Highway 113 construction starts today! Keep this in mind while road riding. The Great Sauk Trail Goette road parking lot will also be in-accessible. Youโ€™ll meet to park at the County Rd Z parking lot.

Road construction begins on Highway 113 between Baraboo and Merrimac, which means that access to the Goette Road trailhead for the Great Sauk State Trail will be inaccessible from 113 and Halweg Road to thru traffic.

You can still jump onto the trail from other locations:

If you're visiting this weekend, here is some good information from the Friends of Devilโ€™s Lake State Park! It's going to be busy and warm; bring lots of water. Wildside Action Sports will have the air conditioning on if you need a break from the heat!!

The lake may look calm right now, but we're gearing up for the busiest weekend at Devil's Lake State Park! ๐ŸŽ†

It's one of the most beautiful places to celebrate a holiday weekend, and we appreciate everyone helping keep it clean, safe, and welcoming for all. ๐Ÿฉต

A few important reminders before you visit:

๐Ÿš— Arrive early โ€” parking lots at both the North and South Shore fill quickly on holiday weekends.
๐Ÿพ Pets โ€” dogs must remain on leash at all times. Pets are not allowed on main swimming beaches, but there are designated dog swim areas at both boat landings.
๐Ÿฅพ Trails โ€” the East and West Bluff trails are typically the busiest. For a quieter experience, consider the Roznos Meadow Trail or Uplands Trail.
๐Ÿ“ฑ Cell service โ€” is limited throughout the park. Donโ€™t rely on your phone for navigation; grab a paper map at the Visitor Center.
โ˜€๏ธ Come prepared โ€” bring plenty of water, food, and sunscreen to stay fueled!
๐ŸŒฟ Be patient and โ€” expect longer wait times at park entrances, restrooms, and concessions.
๐Ÿšฏ Leave no trace โ€” pack it in, pack it out. Please use bins or take all trash with you.
๐Ÿšจ Emergencies โ€” always call 911 first. Itโ€™s the fastest way to reach help in the park.

Thanks for helping keep the park enjoyable for everyone this weekend! ๐Ÿซถโœจ
