With the waves rolling below, the wind blowing around her, and the ship gently swaying beneath her feet, Dana found her balance and held a beautiful Tree Pose.
What a reminder that balance isn’t about having perfect conditions. It’s about staying grounded no matter what’s happening around you.
This month, we invite you to move your body wherever life takes you. On vacation. At the beach. On a hiking trail. In your backyard. On a cruise ship. Movement doesn’t have to happen inside four walls to matter.

June is Move Your Body Everywhere Month. 🌎
At Move Your Body Yoga, we love seeing you in the studio. Whether that looks like joining us for a 45-minute Move365 class or a one-hour yoga practice, we’ll always have a spot waiting for you on the mat.
But we also know summer brings vacations, business trips, family visits, weekend getaways, and changes to our routines.
That’s why this month we’re focusing on one simple goal: keep moving.
Take a walk. Stretch on the beach. Hike a trail. Hold a plank in your hotel room. Strike your favorite yoga pose while traveling. Movement doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference.
If you can get here, we’d love to see you.
And if you can’t get here, move wherever you are.

Kim has served as a lululemon ambassador for the past two years and now she has been officially invited back for YEAR 3!
We’re so excited to celebrate her and this continued partnership with lululemon. The passion, consistency, heart, and commitment she pours into Move Your Body Yoga and the Baton Rouge community every single day never goes unnoticed.
And now… seeing her ambassador light box displayed inside the studio feels incredibly full circle.
A reminder that dreams built with purpose, consistency, community, and heart can truly come to life.
From creating a space rooted in movement and mindfulness to building genuine connection and community, she continues to lead with authenticity and intention.
To see that work recognized again through this ambassador journey is truly special.

Back-to-back years of being voted Gold Winner for Yoga/Pilates category in Baton Rouge is something we do not take lightly.
This studio was built with faith, long days, early mornings, deep breaths, real connection, and a community that continues to show up again and again.

Hike 365 Update 🌿
Due to current trail conditions from the recent rain, Hike 365 scheduled for Saturday morning has been postponed and rescheduled for Saturday, July 11.
The safety and experience of our community will always come first, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support.
While the hike is on pause for now, movement continues tomorrow morning at 9 AM inside our yoga home with Move 365 — grounding movement inspired by nature, breath, mobility, strength, and restoration.
More information and updated hike details will be shared as we get closer to the new hike date.

Tashina is no stranger to the yoga mat and continues to make space for restoration, recovery, mobility, and intentional movement at Move Your Body Yoga while competing at one of the highest levels in collegiate track and field.
And what she is accomplishing right now is extraordinary.
At the 2026 SWAC Outdoor Championships, Tashina ran a historic 12.64 in the women’s 100-meter hurdles — breaking the SWAC record, setting a new HBCU national record, and taking over the NCAA Division I lead in the event. Her time currently stands as the 2nd fastest mark in the world this season.
She is also now recognized as the fifth-fastest non-Power Four athlete in NCAA history in the event.
But beyond the accolades, rankings, and records, what stands out most is the way she carries herself.
Calm.
Focused.
Steady.
Confident.
And incredibly humble.
Even while competing on a world-class level, she still understands the importance of recovery, breathwork, mindfulness, and caring for both body and mind. That balance matters.
We are incredibly proud of you, Tashina, and honored that Move Your Body Yoga can be a small part of your wellness and recovery journey.
