New to badminton? Badminton 101 is a relaxed, beginner-only event focused on rallying, having fun, and meeting other new players.

This is not a class or coaching session. A Facilitator will briefly cover the basic rules, etiquette, and how games work before getting everyone on court for fun, organized play.

No intense competition - just lots of hitting, rallies, and a comfortable way to get started with badminton!

One Victor Carbosonic shuttle is included for each participant. Rentals and shoes are available for an additional charge.

Beginners only! No prior experience required.

What an incredible weekend in Manhattan Beach, California!

Six founding clubs from across North America came together for the inaugural North American Club Championships, presented by Yonex and The Legends’ Vision.

Representing Canada were KC Badminton and ClearOne Badminton. Representing the USA were Bellevue Badminton Club, Global Badminton Academy, Bintang Badminton, and Frisco Badminton Academy.

After a long and challenging round of team matches, we finished second in Pool A, setting up a semifinal against Pool B’s top team, Bintang.

The semifinal went right down to the wire, but our team fought through and earned a 3–2 victory to advance to the championship match against Frisco Badminton Academy.

The final was just as close. After four matches, we were tied 2–2, with everything coming down to the deciding match. We ultimately fell 3–2, but it was an incredible final and a weekend we will not forget.

We are incredibly proud of our athletes, coaches, and parents for the team spirit, support, and energy they brought throughout the entire event.

A huge thank you to all of the organizers, staff, and volunteers who made this event possible. And a special thank you to Lee Chong Wei and Saina Nehwal for making the trip and helping make the inaugural North American Club Championships even more special.

What a way to start this championship. We are already looking forward to the next one!

If you’re on the lookout for the correct shoes to wear in our facilities please be sure to keep the following in mind:

- must be indoor specific (badminton, basketball, volleyball, pickleball shoes ok)
- non-marking is required. Usually soles made of gum rubber is what you should be looking for

If you don’t yet own a pair, all our locations have rentals available!

Our shoe policy is to ensure safety on the courts and to maintain our facility for all to enjoy! If you have further questions please don’t hesitate to ask our staff for extra help ☺️
