Stompings will continue until morale improves! Stompers 8, Slamon 5.

Can't sto(m)p won't sto(m)p! The Stompers continued their dominance with a 13-5 win. Captain Nick dared to dream of taking the Slamon upstream to the promised land but landed on a hot grill instead. Who will be the first captain to get the Slamon their inaugural win?

Stomped again! Not technically a walk-off, but the Stompers scored four in the bottom of the last inning to continue their streak.

Next week is opposite day as we try out team pitch for a game. Pitchers face their own team, 4 balls is a strike-out, and the highest ERA gets the W.

The Slamon got stomped again in another close game!

The game started off as a pitcher's duel with the Slamon playing lights-out defense behind their ace pitcher. The score was 1-1 in the fourth when the Slamon broke out the bats and put 3 on the board with a string of hits. The Stompers chipped away at the lead with 2 in the 6th before an 8th inning girthquake flipped the game on its head. In the bottom of the 8th, with darkness closing in, a 3-run rally fell just short.

Final score: Stompers 8, Slamon 7.

The Stompers remain undefeated and move to 3-0 on the season.

The game started off rough for the Slamon as the Stompers launched an over-the-fence grand slam on route to a 5-run girthquake first inning. But the Slamon responded with 4 runs of their own and some good defensive plays on both sides kept the game close until the 8th, when the Stompers took a 2-run lead.

Down 10-8 with a chance to come back and walk it off, the Slamon loaded the bases with 2 outs before just missing on a sky high drive to left.

The eternal battle continues next Wednesday as the Slamon look to get that first win.

Game 1 of the Sacball season ended with a dramatic come from behind walk-off win for the Stompers! Down by one run in the last inning, the Stompers hit a clutch RBI triple to deep right field. With the infield drawn in, a hard line drive past first base drove in the winning run. Way to go!
