One of the greatest rewards of Thoroughbred aftercare is watching these incredible horses begin their next careers—and inspire the next generation of riders along the way.

Linda Wooleyhan, who adopted these horses through Safe Haven Equine in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, has helped several Turning For Home graduates become trusted partners for young equestrians. From first crossrails to bigger dreams, these former racehorses are proving every day that they have so much to give beyond the finish line.

Featured here are TFH alumni Whispering Springs, So Steady, Instinctive, Lucky Flush, and Iwishirish—all thriving in their second careers and helping young riders build confidence, skills, and unforgettable memories.

This is what aftercare is all about: transition, retraining, and giving Thoroughbreds the opportunity to excel in new careers while enriching the lives of the people who love them.
