“After the Storm Productions (established 2026)

Sept. 17-27 at the John Waldron Firebay, 122 S. Walnut St. “Always a Little Bit Tipsy” by Tom Slater, Nicholas Krohn and Ryan Chase.

After the Storm Productions, established in 2026, presents its second show, this one in conjunction with YOUnique Studio and Tipsy & Tootsie Teasdale. This original musical stars Tom Slater, telling how Slater became Tipsy and his discoveries along the way. A talented little boy learns too early our world’s rules about what a man “should” be. Shamed into compliance, he armors himself. His quest for approval dampens his empathy. His sense of wonder becomes performative. The now-man is everything his little-boy self feared: abrasive, hollow. Later, he stumbles into drag and finds that the self he had to hide is actually where his power flames. Through performance, he reclaims those exiled aspects of himself — the softness, the play, the freer person. See https://AlwaysALittleBitTipsy.com for more info. “
