The team delivered a commendable performance over the weekend, showcasing resilience amidst challenges. Despite experiencing fluctuations throughout the two-day event, our focus remained on concluding strong, in line with our motto. We ultimately completed the 7GG with a 6-2 record, which we consider a satisfactory outcome for a young team. Although we had aspired to claim the top spot, securing third place against strong opponents was a respectable achievement. The upcoming three weekends will be dedicated to refining our skills, healing injuries and sickness with our next tournament scheduled for Mid-April. Key team highlights included two double plays, three caught stealing instances, several diving plays for outs, 45 hits with an OPS of .800, and 40 stolen bases.
Notable individual performances included
Addisyn Wilcox batting .533 with 8 stolen bases, an OPS of 1.296, and 12 innings pitched;
Chloe White batting .400 with 4 stolen bases, drawing 3 walks, and an OPS of 1.034;
Chuck Maeder batting .545 with 2 stolen bases, an OPS of 1.220, and contributing one double play.
Furthermore, Kaidyn Bailey and Chelsey Bevard demonstrated impressive pitching skills, collectively pitching 20 innings while allowing only 9 hits, striking out 20, and conceding 7 walks.
