🏆 History in the Making for the 517🏆

We are excited to officially kick off the inaugural season of the 517 Youth Cheer & STUNT League 11U STUNT division!

This season marks a huge step forward for youth cheer in our community as 12 schools and 13 teams come together to compete in USA Cheer sanctioned STUNT. These athletes will showcase their strength, teamwork, and skill in one of the fastest-growing competitive formats in cheer.

STUNT focuses on the technical elements of cheer including partner stunts, pyramids, jumps, and tumbling, in a head-to-head game format that highlights athleticism, precision, and teamwork.

We are incredibly proud of the athletes, coaches, schools, families, and our 517 Youth Cheer & STUNT board who are helping make this first season possible. Your commitment is helping grow opportunities for young athletes across the 517 and building the future of our sport.

We are wishing the best of luck to all 13 teams this season!

We cannot wait to pack the stands, support our athletes, and celebrate this exciting new chapter for youth STUNT in our community.

We are pleased to announce that one of the high school students' pieces of art was chosen to move on from the regional art show to the state art show (Top 100 in the state of Michigan) and is currently on display at Washtenaw Community College with a reception this Friday from 5:30-7:30 PM! The state show takes place at Adrian College (Dates/ times TBA). Congratulations to Aubrey Wyse for this honor!

Yesterday we finished our season with heart and an overflowing amount of love. Although we did not take one of the top four spots, our team took the mat with confidence and pride in themselves and the girls next to them. As tough as it is right now, we know that we controlled the things we could and gave it our best shot. We couldn’t be prouder of what we put on the mat and every single athlete on our team.

To our fans: WOW! The support shown this year was overwhelming. You were always there in the stands, ensuring our team felt your love. Thank you for the cheers, the snacks, the posters, the pep talks, the hugs - thank you for the countless ways you showed up for our team every single day. We couldn’t have done any of this without YOU!

To our seniors: This wasn’t the end we’d pictured or talked about from day one, but it’s one you should be incredibly proud of. Your leadership and dedication to our team has made all the difference. This program has been forever changed for the better because of YOU. Although your time on the mat may be over, you’ll always have a HOME here with us. CCVC FOREVER 🫶🏼

Today we rest and reflect on the season. Tomorrow we rise up, dust ourselves off, and start planing. This is only the beginning - we won’t ever forget ✨
