Our last local tournament in Burlington for summer months is tonight. Starting at 7pm we will play 4 rds (72holes) with 2 rds on each course. All skill levels welcome for our more competitive Open Div and the growing number of newer Novice players .

Entry fees will be $20 for Open and $12 for Novice.

Last nights local tournament had two players, John Perry and Graham Sigmon, playing as partners , then tying for first place, resulting in Graham edging out John P in the playoff. Another great outing for Graham and one of John’s best performances. Congrats to both!!

In novice division, Tonya Porter shot 13 under par for one of her best outings!

Next Monday, Aug 31 will be end of Summer Special 4 rd event, two rds on each course. We will start at 7p with entry fees $20 for Open and $12 for Novice!

Make Up Local Tournament is tonight at 7:30p on back course 1.
All skill levels welcome for 3rds (54 holes) of medal play. Entry fees $15 for Most competitive Open Div and $10 for novice div. Practice allowed 2 hrs prior with entry fees .

Results of Howard Loy Memorial on Saturday.
Congrats to Tom Butler winning the Pro division with 4 rd total 101 and Russell Sigmon, Jr. winning the APA with 104.
David Jones took the Novice division honors with 120 total.
52nd Elton Davis Memorial will tee off at 9a Sunday morning. Pros playing 6 rds and APA and novice will play 4 rds.

Course change for Novice Division

Due to heat and numbers of PPA and APA players, the novice will play the back course 1 instead of adding to the participation on the front course. This will speed up the play for all .

Novice Divisions will be available on this weekend for the Howard Loy Memorial on Saturday and the 52nd Elton Davis Memorial on Sunday. Novice will follow same format as the APA division on both days with 4 rd 72 hole events of Medal Play on the front Course 2.

Entry fees for Novice will be $20 each day. Prizes will include trophy for first, prize $$ reimbursement for top 30% of the field, special bonuses will be included based on participation such as Lowest 18 score, Most total Aces, and Blind Partners Best 9s. There will be a 4 stroke limit for all Novice players. Open to all skill levels.

Tee off on Saturday is 11a. Tee off on Sunday is 9a .

Last night local results in Burlington Course 2 is in after torrential downpour just before tee off that over washed the prior morning power washing. Everyone had to play in extremely wet carpet conditions which changed round by round.

Congrats to John Crawford with final round 24 for 83 total win and beat John Wilder final 27 for 87 total for 2nd . Mike Alley, Jex Harrison, Richard Garner tied for 3rd at 88.

In novice Div Robert Ryan came from behind and clipped Todd Talley by 1 at 107 to 108.

Add On Wednesday Night Local: Since we are hoping for dry conditions in the weekend tournaments coming up, last nights conditions didn’t help for practice as much as desired. We will hold another local tournament on Wednesday 8/12 at 7:30p on C2 in effort to offer more opportunities to play the course before this weekend.
