The Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference is saddened to announce the passing of beloved former Executive Board member and coach Vincent Maiorino on June 20, 2026.
Maiorino left a lasting imprint on the Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference through his involvement over the course of five decades as an athlete, coach, leader, and mentor. His reach spanned across hundreds of athletes and fellow coaches in the collegiate rifle community, a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Norwich University senior Brady Simmons is the 2026 recipient of the Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference's Hap Rocketto Excellence Award!
Simmons embodies the spirit of this award as an inaugural member of Norwich University's recently-reestablished NCAA rifle program, who maintains academic excellence while mentoring younger teammates in goal-setting and athletic technique on the range and continues to display leadership qualities off the range by serving as a Company Commander for Charlie Company in the Norwich ROTC Corps of Cadets.

Congratulations to the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference Coach of the Year: Melissa Mulloy-Mecozzi!
Mulloy-Mecozzi has been at the helm of the MIT rifle program since 2011 and has served as the conference's Statistical Secretary for the past three years. She was nominated and selected by her peers for her commitment to both her program and the conference. In particular, she was noted to be uniquely welcoming and supportive of new coaches as they navigate their conference participation and the sport of collegiate rifle.

The Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference will be one program bigger in 2026-2027 as we welcome the Hillsdale College precision rifle team for next season!
The Chargers will add a wealth of competitive experience to the conference including a 2026 ASSA Intercollegiate Rifle National Championship runner-up team finish.

The Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference was well-represented at the 2026 USA Shooting National Junior Olympic Rifle Championships!
A pair of MAC athletes competed in Anniston & Talladega, Alabama last week among the best juniors in the nation:
