501x3 PR for our athlete Fil as he gets ready for Power Surge X 🔥
If you’re newer to the gym, you’ve probably seen us coaching in the evenings. We’re usually here Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5-7 PM working with clients.
Team training starts around 6 PM on Wednesdays (bench) and Fridays (squats/deads).
If you’ve ever wanted to jump in, learn more, or get some help with your training, come talk to one of us. We’d be happy to have you!

Ten years ago this Labor Day weekend, we opened the doors to our first gym.
Getting there was an uphill battle.
I was young and I didn’t have much on paper that proved I was capable of doing what I was trying to do. I was fortunate enough to have a landlord take a chance on me and a city willing to approve our space for a gym.
But I knew exactly what I wanted to build.
Surge started with me training people and realizing how naturally I loved helping others find their strength. Watching someone get excited about training, believe in themselves, or accomplish something they didn’t think they could do never got old.
That first gym was 2,500 square feet. About 1/5th of the size of where we are today.
And honestly, we didn’t have much.
What we did have was a lot of passion, energy, and people who believed in what we were creating.
Looking back, that taught me something I still believe today: equipment matters, but equipment alone doesn’t create a great gym.
People do.
My dad, Jackie and I spent countless late nights cleaning, building and pouring everything we had into that space. I can still remember standing alone in the middle of the gym around 3 AM one night before we opened, just looking around and taking it all in.
I knew it was the beginning of something special.
What I couldn’t have imagined was how many people would eventually walk through those doors or what Surge would grow into over the next decade.
We’re bigger now. We have more equipment, more coaches, more programs and more people.
But the reason we exist hasn’t changed.
We want this to be a place where people can find their strength, find their people, and feel like they belong. Especially if they’ve spent a lot of their life feeling like they didn’t quite fit anywhere else.
“Strength does not discriminate.”
Thank you to everyone who has supported Surge and helped make these last ten years possible.
And if you’re still looking for your place, our doors are open.
The gym may look a lot different now. The heart of it is still the same.

As summer starts winding down, this is usually the time of year when we start seeing people settle back into their routines and get back into training.
Always a great feeling seeing that energy start to pick back up around the gym and getting to provide a space for our coaches and clients to do what they do! Mike fedanzo

We’ve had a big “surge” in new signups lately, and it’s been especially cool seeing familiar faces come back!
We’ve put a lot of work into improving Surge over the last year with new equipment, better layouts, facility upgrades, and a better overall experience.
One of my favorite things is seeing people walk into Surge for the first time and realize just how big the gym actually is.
Now we’re working on doing a better job of showing that before people ever visit like updating the website and finding better ways to showcase everything Surge has to offer.
Still plenty we want to improve, but it feels good seeing people enjoy the space and seeing where the gym is headed đź’Ş

5 WEEKS OUT 🌎
The world is coming to Power Surge X.
We started with France and Australia, then added the UK and Ireland. This week, Argentina and Canada join the list. 🇦🇷🇨🇦
Ayelén Agustina Noguera will be making the trip from Argentina, and Ken Price will be coming down from Canada to compete at Power Surge X.
Pretty crazy to actually see athletes traveling from all over the world to come compete at our gym and be part of this meet.
5 weeks out. We’re getting close!

As an entrepreneur, passion will take you far. My passion has always been helping others find their inner strength and bringing people together.
When I look at what Surge has become, I see a testament to that passion.
Somewhere along the way, though, the way I carried that passion and responsibility became part of what caused me to collapse. I know a lot of other business owners probably understand what I mean by that.
With acceptance, I can admit that I became isolated. I started hiding parts of myself and eventually found my way to rock bottom.
I bring this up now because despite being sober for almost two years, the fog is still clearing.
And in the midst of all of it, there is a light in me that never stopped burning.
I’m ready to embrace that light and my authentic self again.
Trusting myself is a big part of this process. I’m learning that I can lead with love, bring people together, and help others find their strength without losing myself along the way.

We have the coolest members.
Thea has been working on a custom kilo plate rack built specifically for Surge, and we just got our first look at how it’s coming together.
We’re beyond impressed and incredibly grateful for the time, skill, and care going into it.
Can’t wait to see the finished product! 🔥

A big goal for us this summer was to not only evolve the space, but continue raising the standard for how we take care of it.
Our team has put a lot of consistent effort into cleaning, organizing, resetting and maintaining the gym, and it’s been really cool seeing that same effort reflected in our members and how they take care of the space too.
The gym has been looking and feeling better and better lately. Really proud of it and appreciate everyone doing their part!
