🎃🩷 HALLOWEEN WEEK AT TTP 🩷🎃

Well, I think we can officially say you all understood the assignment. 😂

This week our studios were full of princesses, butterflies, grandmas, anime characters, island adventurers, cats, creatures, pajamas, tutus, wings, wigs, and more costumes than I could possibly name.

And it was SO. MUCH. FUN.

One of my favorite things about weeks like this is watching everyone get to be a little silly together. We work hard in these rooms. We ask our dancers to stretch themselves, learn difficult things, take corrections, try again, and keep growing.

But there should always be room for JOY, too. 🩷

For ridiculous costumes.
For laughing with your friends.
For teachers joining in.
For big kids making things magical for little kids.
For dancing in butterfly wings and tutus and whatever else happens to walk through the door. 😂

Thank you to everyone who dressed up, helped with costumes, joined the fun, and made our studios such a happy place to be this week.

💚 THIS is what we mean when we talk about growing up at TTP.

Yes, they turned themselves completely green. 😂 Yes, the commitment to Shrek and Fiona was spectacular.

But what I love most about these pictures is who is underneath all that green.

Our older dancers are becoming the girls our younger dancers look up to. They’re stepping into classes, helping teach, encouraging little ones, demonstrating, answering questions, tying shoes, giving hugs, and showing them what it looks like to be part of this studio beyond simply taking class.

There is something incredibly special about watching a dancer who was once one of the little girls in the room become someone a little girl watches and thinks, I want to be like her someday.

We talk a lot about technique, performance and becoming stronger dancers. But this? This matters just as much.

Thank you to our older girls who are choosing to lead with kindness, patience, joy, and a willingness to look absolutely ridiculous when the occasion calls for it. 💚😂

The next generation of TTP is watching you.

🎃 HALLOWEEN WEEK: DAY ONE 🎃

Well… this escalated quickly. 😂

Shrek and Fiona showed up. Princesses reported for duty. We had cats, mice, witches, fairies, a piggy ballerina, and more than a few characters we probably shouldn’t have trusted unsupervised in the studio.

And somehow, in the middle of all of it, WE ACTUALLY DANCED. 🩰👻

This was only Day One of Halloween Dress-Up Week at TTP, and judging by this opening act, we are in for a very entertaining week.

Keep the costumes coming. We’re just getting started. 🎃🩷✨

🩷 Meet Twila Twig 🩰🌾

Twila Twig is named in honor of Twyla Tharp, a pioneer of American modern dance known for breaking rules, blending styles, and finding new ways to move.

Our Twila has taken that philosophy to heart. Her turnout is questionable, her straw placement unconventional, but her tutu is magnificent and her commitment to the choreography is unwavering.

And yes, those are tights. Because even our scarecrows at That’s The Pointe Dance wear tights. 😂

Most importantly, Twila believes what we do:

✨ COURAGE LOOKS GOOD ON YOU! ✨

This weekend at IAX, our dancers reminded us that courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s choosing to dance anyway. 💗

There were nerves, anxiety, stress, and moments of self-doubt. But there was also determination, bravery, friendship, and a WHOLE LOT OF HEART!

They showed up, pushed through the uncomfortable moments, supported one another, and danced their hearts out!

Awards are wonderful, but watching our dancers discover just how capable they are? That’s what makes us proudest.

Because dance is about so much more than what happens on stage. It’s about who we become along the way.

✨ 15 years of dancing, growing, and finding the courage to shine!

We couldn’t be prouder of these beautiful humans. 💕

Spirit Week: where the outfits are questionable, the energy is unhinged, and somehow… we still get some dancing done. 😂🩷✨

Yesterday brought tap shoes, ballet tights, pajama energy, questionable fashion choices, spontaneous acrobatics and whatever exactly is happening in that first picture.

In other words: a perfectly normal day at TTP.

15 years in and we still believe some of the very best memories happen somewhere between “5, 6, 7, 8” and “WHAT ARE Y’ALL DOING?!” 😂

15 years of TTP. 🩷✨

Our Memory Wall is filling up with little pieces of the past 15 years. Old recital shirts, company jackets, programs, costumes, props, photos, awards and, perhaps unsurprisingly, an unreasonable amount of sparkle. 😂✨

Every piece holds a story. First classes and final bows. Competition weekends and recital nights. Friendships, laughter, hard work, happy tears and so much love.

Thousands of dancers have walked through these doors, and each one has left a little piece of their story here.

15 years of memories, 15 years of TTP, and we’re still adding to the wall. 🩷
