⚽ SOFIVE HOUSE LEAGUE
What is it?

The House Soccer League is Sofive's weekend youth league designed for players who want actual game experience in a fun, competitive and development-focused environment.

The main goals are:

More touches on the ball
Building confidence
Improving technical ability
Developing game IQ
Getting real weekend game experience
Creating a competitive environment without requiring players to already belong to a club team

The league is designed for more involvement and faster development because the fields have boards surrounding them, keeping the ball in play more often.

👦 Age range

The House League is designed for ages 6–12.

Sofive also offers a Skills Institute + Game Experience combination for this age group, where players train during the week and then play House League games on weekends.

👤 Do players need their own team?

No.

This is one of the biggest selling points.

Players can:

1. Register individually

Sofive places individual players onto a House Team with other players who are also looking for a team.

2. Form a team with friends

Players who already have a group can register together rather than being placed individually.

🏟️ Game environment

The league uses Sofive's small-sided indoor format.

For Chitown specifically, the facility has:

5 indoor 5-a-side fields
1 training field
Viewing lounge
Café/bar
Free on-site parking
Video/replay technology

The boards surrounding the fields are particularly important to the House League concept because the ball stays in play more often, creating more touches and action.

🎓 Skills Institute + House League

This is another important part of the program.

Sofive's youth pathway currently breaks down like this:

Program Age Main Purpose
Lil' Kickers 18 months – 6 Introduction to soccer / child development
Skills Institute 5–12 Technical & tactical training
House League 6–12 Weekend competitive games
Skills + Game Experience 6–12 Weekday training + weekend games

So the House League isn't necessarily meant to replace Skills Institute. Sofive is positioning it as the game component that allows kids to take what they're learning during training and apply it in actual matches.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent experience

At Chitown, parents have access to:

Viewing lounge
Café/bar
Indoor climate-controlled facility
Free parking
Video technology/replay capabilities

Building stronger communities through soccer ⚽️ Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting the Premier League and U.S. Soccer Foundation’s NEXTGEN Coach x Coach-Mentor Training at Sofive Meadowlands, alongside Jonas Gutierrez!

Coaching, community, and a little Premier League history. ⚽🏆
The U.S. Soccer Foundation and the Premier League recently partnered to provide a coaching clinic for local coaches of all experience levels, creating an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow the game.
The day was made even more special with a visit from the official Premier League Trophy. We were proud to welcome it to Sofive and share the moment with our team and the coaches helping shape the future of soccer.
