🇻🇪 Javier Sanoja was born in Venezuela, growing up looking up to players like José Altuve and Luis Arraez. Now, he’s starting to look like a mirror image of both a high-contact, tough-at-bat player who does all the little things right.

If you don’t know Javier Sanoja, it’s time to get to know him.

When I got back into sports cards, I was looking for players to buy, and I came across Javier. He had an extremely low strikeout rate and a high average in the minors, and I thought, this guy is going to make it hard for anyone to keep him out of the starting lineup.

He quickly climbed his way through the Marlins organization, was their Minor League Player of the Year, won a Gold Glove as a utility player in his rookie season, and has now gone from a role player to nearly an everyday contributor in the Marlins’ playoff push.

Outside of PC’ing Cubs, I’ve loaded up on Sanoja cards. He does all the little things right in baseball and is an absolute blast to watch.

Can’t wait to see him and the Marlins back in Chicago in September.
