Berry the butterfly.

We found it in a turnout on our way to Applegate lake. It had been injured, mostly likely by a car. Of course we couldn't just leave the poor thing. So we brought it home and put it in the flowers. It only survived a night, but what a beautiful end of life it was for little Berry.

Exploring new places with my family is one of my favorite things to do. Add a camera and some sun and it's the perfect kind of day. ♥️

Taken at Applegate river.

In August of 2024 my grandmother passed away. She was my person. We shared a love of the ocean and as a child she and I frequented Bodega Bay in California.

In August of 2025, on the year mark of her passing, my daughter and I took a trip to Bodega Bay. As I captured this picture I thought "what a wonderful sunny day it is today. This doesn't happen often".

I had never known that my grandma had also taken my daughter to Bodega Bay frequently enough for her to point out things and say "Nonni and Nonno took me there".

Not only will this place forever hold wonderful memories for me, but it seems my daughter was also given the same gift of memory there. ♥️ Now, this photo will forever hold the memory of that trip with my daughter.

Crater Lake never looks real until you see it with your own eyes. The water is such an unreal shade of blue it feels straight out of a fairytale — crystal clear, breathtaking, and freezing cold.

If you’ve ever taken the Cleetwood Cove Trail down to the lake, you already know… the hike down is easy. The hike back up? That’s a whole different story, especially after spending hours swimming and soaking in the views.

Right now, Cleetwood Cove Trail is temporarily closed for restoration work and is expected to reopen for summer 2029. But despite the rumors floating around online, Crater Lake National Park is NOT closed. There’s still so much beauty to experience, and the local businesses around the area truly depend on visitors making the trip.

If you’re planning a visit and need a place to stay, check out my friends Crater Lake Resort — gorgeous cabins, a peaceful 14-acre property, and a beautiful little river running right through it. The perfect home base for exploring one of Oregon’s most incredible places.

Hi friends! You may have noticed my absence. My page was taken from me last year and I thought it was gone forever. This morning I got an email about it and they've restored my page!! I'm back!

Photo for attention.

A few years ago, this area burned. This devastating fire started here, this was ground zero.

It proceeded to quickly wipe out thousands of acres of our forest, displacing and killing wildlife. It threatened homes, displacing a large portion of our community and prompted immediate evacuations of people and animals. Cries for help from fellow farms begging for trailers to move their animals to safety flooded our local social media pages.

Our firefighters did an amazing job saving as many homes as they could. Unfortunately, this aggressive fire was difficult to contain.

5 years later, you can still see the destruction. Driving down the highway we are reminded of the devastating loss of forest, animals and homes.

But from ashes comes new life. Some older trees survived, but now new trees are starting. New plants are growing. Wildlife has returned and made new homes. Houses have been rebuilt. Burnt trees have been removed. It's just a memory, but one that will stick for a lifetime.

"The 242 Fire, a large wildfire in 2020 near Chiloquin, Oregon, burned over 14,800 acres. It was triggered near the Williamson River Campground and quickly spread, burning on both sides of U.S. Highway 97. The fire prompted evacuations and caused significant damage, including the destruction of 50 structures. The fire caused evacuations of nearly 1,000 households, with Collier State Park being evacuated early on."

I would like to wish a happy mother's day to all the moms out there. You're amazing and you're doing a great job!

I would also like to take this opportunity to send my condolences to those missing their mother, mother figure, grandmother, etc today. Holidays can be hard when you're missing a loved one. I am sending love to you all as I spend this day, for the first time in 36 years, without my beloved grandmother.

♥️
