Strong Base Jiu Jitsu Academy We specialize in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we offer classes for Men, Women, Boys and Girls.

With a Massive 2,400 square feet of spring loaded floor system! it is the largest (privately own) mat space in the South Bay San Diego Area, It is a great place to safely and comfortably train.

Starting TODAY! Strong Base students will have another opportunity to improve their strength, endurance, and overall fitness!

Whether you want to participate in a structured workout or simply use our weights, machines, and equipment at your own pace, we've got you covered!

🥋 15 YEARS OF STRONG BASE JIU JITSU! 🎉

Established in October 2011, Strong Base has proudly served the Chula Vista community for 15 years!

Over the years, we've watched kids grow into adults, white belts become black belts, strangers become friends, and teammates become family.

Founded by David Alonso, who operated the academy until October 2019 before pursuing his architecture business, Strong Base was passed on to the Ramirez Family in November 2019, who continue operating it today. We're proud that David remains part of Strong Base, teaching Wednesday adult classes and participating in every belt promotion.

Through challenges, changes, and even a global pandemic, Strong Base has continued to grow, bringing people together through Jiu Jitsu.

To every student, parent, coach, and family who has been part of our journey, THANK YOU!❤️
