The Gators proved they ain’t afraid of no Blackhawks Saturday afternoon in Delhi as Coach Loveless's St. Al’s seventh-and-eighth-grade girls came armed with killer serves, spooky-good digs and enough monster spikes to bust St. Dominic in a season-opening win for our ladies!

Who ya gonna call?! Go Gators!

It was something of a monster mash Saturday afternoon at The Swamp as Coach Mathis's fifth-and-sixth-grade Gators opened their girls' volleyball season against St. Lawrence. It wasn't a win, but the ladies played well and had fun.

At one point, the concessions crew's eyes beheld an eerie sight.
For a wookie, from our door, began to enter ...
And suddenly, to our surprise ...
it was a graveyard smash with Spider-Man.

Go Gators!

No one was gonna save the Panthers Saturday morning from the Gators about to strike on a GREAT Halloween morning to be a Gator!

Our third-and-fourth-grade girls' volleyball team delivered a THRILLER for Gators Nation as they won their season opener over St. Lawrence out of southeast Indiana, winning the first two sets and thrilling the crowd more than any ghoul could ever dare try.

Go Gators!

If it’s girls’ volleyball season, our Gators ranks are joined by longtime friends and parishioners from around our St. Al’s parish region and this year, several of these young ladies will wrap up their Gators careers on the court. As they cheer the end of many great seasons in a St. Al’s jersey, we take some time celebrate and appreciate them.

This week, we begin with Eliza ... so read all about this young lady on Page 2 in TWIGA:https://saintals.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/This-Week-in-Gators-Athletics-10-30-2026.pdf

Thank you, Eliza, for being a Gator!

Our St. Al's seventh-and-eighth-grade girls' volleyball teams enjoyed a perfect team building day Tuesday at The Swamp as the ladies bedazzled and decorated mini volleyballs, enjoyed pizza from N.Y.P.D. Pizza Cincinnati , drinks & snacks, and made some great memories together ahead of the start of the season!

Then it was straight to the gym to WORK. These Gators are putting in the effort and getting ready for our first matches this weekend. And thank you to St. Al's Athletics and our parents who made a great night happen for our girls.

We love seeing our teams come together on and off the court. Teamwork, hustle, and a whole lot of heart - that's Gator volleyball ... GO GATORS! 🐊 🏐 💚 💪 🐊
