Tońio (C2-4) is looking smoother and more confident with his free walking every session. This session we focused on improving his alignment by applying strategic pressure to the lower abdomen and posterior pelvis to facilitate a more neutral pelvic position. By reducing excessive anterior pelvic tilt, we are helping decrease unnecessary stress and tightness throughout the hips, low back, and lower extremities. Creating a more neutral alignment allows Tonio to better access his posterior chain, improve weight distribution, and move with greater efficiency during gait. As his nervous system continues to experience this improved positioning, it begins to recognize a more optimal movement pattern, leading to increased stability, balance, and confidence with every step. Progress isn’t just about walking farther, it’s about teaching the body to move smarter, safer, and more efficiently. Tonio continues to put in the work, and it shows. Every step forward is a step toward greater independence. NICE WORK TOŃIO! NEVER GIVE UP!!

Carla (T1-T6) is continuing to make impressive progress in her recovery journey. Carla was looking smooth and confident while taking steps with minimal assistance, demonstrating improved motor control, coordination, and overall stability. Utilizing the Hand Walk for upper extremity support, she was able to focus on proper weight shifting, posture, and stepping mechanics throughout the gait cycle. For safety, intermittent knee lockouts were provided when needed, allowing Carla to maintain alignment and build confidence while challenging her independence. Each step represents continued development in strength, endurance, balance, and neuromuscular re-education. Keep putting in the work, Carla. Your dedication is showing, and the progress speaks for itself. The journey continues, and you’re giving yourself every opportunity to succeed. Keep GROWING THROUGH IT!! 💪🏽🔥
Mark (Stroke) standing tall with more efficiency, building strength, awareness, and confidence in every rep.
The focus is not just getting upright, but learning how to stand with better alignment, control, and less wasted energy. Each time Mark finds his posture, engages his body, and trusts his balance, his nervous system gets another reminder: we can do this. Standing tall is more than a position, it’s progress, independence, and presence in motion. NEVER GIVE UP MARK!

Word of the Month: Presence
What does presence mean to you?
At its core, presence is the ability to be fully engaged in the moment to show up physically, mentally, and emotionally for yourself and those around you. In a world filled with distractions, worries about the future, and memories of the past, presence invites us to focus on what is happening right now. At our facility, presence means more than simply being here. It means bringing intention to every exercise, every conversation, every challenge, and every victory. It means celebrating small improvements, embracing the journey, and recognizing that growth happens one moment at a time.
For our clients, presence can mean trusting the process, staying connected to their bodies, and acknowledging each step forward, no matter how small. For our staff, presence means listening deeply, providing support with compassion, and creating an environment where every individual feels seen, valued, and encouraged.
When we practice presence, we reduce the weight of yesterday’s struggles and the anxiety of tomorrow’s uncertainties. We create space for gratitude, connection, healing, and growth.
This month, challenge yourself to be fully present. Notice the progress you’re making. Appreciate the people around you. Focus on what you can do today rather than what happened yesterday or what may happen tomorrow.
WHICH RIPPLE AFFECT ARE YOU CREATING. ARE YOU A PEBBLE OR ARE YOU A BOULDER!
Raul (C-5/6) focused on building upper extremity strength, stability, and functional independence through modified push-up training. This exercise targeted the shoulders, chest, triceps, and scapular stabilizers while promoting weight-bearing through the upper extremities. Emphasis was placed on maintaining proper alignment, trunk control, and controlled movement patterns throughout each repetition. The goal was to improve pushing strength needed for daily functional tasks such as bed mobility, pressure reliefs, transfers, wheelchair propulsion, and overall independence. Repetitive loading through the arms also helped enhance joint stability, muscular endurance, and neuromuscular recruitment while encouraging confidence in supporting body weight through the upper extremities.
Raul demonstrated determination and effort as he worked through each set, focusing on quality movement and progressive strengthening to support long-term functional recovery and independence. NEVER GIVE UP!!
Elisabeth (MS) continues to demonstrate resilience, determination, and strength. One stand at a time, she’s building a stronger foundation for greater mobility, health, and independence. Every moment spent upright is more than just standing, it’s an investment in health, independence, and quality of life. Standing helps promote proper bone density through weight-bearing, supports joint health, improves circulation, assists with digestion and bowel function, and encourages better respiratory function by allowing the lungs to expand more efficiently.Keep standing tall, Elizabeth, the future is built one step, one stand, and one victory at a time. NEVER GIVE UP!
