On a Sunday shrouded in fog and mist, the Dragon Misfits and the Father Figures met in the first round of the playoffs, and neither side gave an inch. The two teams were evenly matched on both sides of the ball. The offenses fought for every yard, and the defenses answered snap for snap.
Regulation couldn't settle it, and neither could the first overtime. It took a second extra period to decide a winner, and when the mist finally cleared, The Father Figures had won. The Dragon Misfits' will play this Sunday the lower bracket and nobody will question their fight this year.
Here are highlights of the game.

The Dragons Misfits battled hard against the Gladiators, absorbing an early punch before taking over late. In the opening half, the Gladiators' hard press and rushing attack slowed the Dragons' offense, collapsing the pocket and limiting the time the unit needed to push the ball downfield.
The second half told a different story. The Dragons flipped the switch, dictating a faster tempo and marching the ball with efficiency. They consistently found and attacked the gaps that appeared in the Gladiators' coverage, sustaining drives and controlling the flow of the game as the contest wore on. Here are highlights from the game.

Sunday’s matchup did not go according to the Dragon Misfits’ game plan. The Legion defense harassed the Misfits offense from start to finish, and turnovers proved to be the difference as the Legion walked away with the win.

With the result behind them, the Misfits now turn their attention to the depth chart this week as they look to make adjustments and prepare for the remaining schedule.
