Exactly 💯

This proverb is as simple as it gets: eat wrong, and no drug can fix you. Eat right, and you won't need one at all.

Think about it this way. Your body is like a car. You can take it to the mechanic every week — but if you keep putting the wrong fuel in the tank, it's going to keep breaking down. The mechanic isn't the problem. The fuel is.

Food is information. Every single bite you take is sending instructions to your body — telling it to repair or break down, to fight inflammation or feed it, to age slowly or fast.

The Sardinian shepherds I studied while writing Young Forever weren't taking a handful of supplements or managing a list of prescriptions. They were eating wild, seasonal, phytochemical-rich food their whole lives. Their bodies simply had what they needed to keep running.

Most of us have it backwards. We wait until something breaks, then look for a pill to fix it. But medicine was always meant to be the last resort — not the plan.

Food is the plan.

Legit, nutrition and dietary decisions are vital to health and meeting goals.

Every bite of food you take is either creating health or fueling dysfunction.

Real food has the power to activate longevity pathways, reduce chronic inflammation, balance blood sugar, support detoxification, repair mitochondria, and nourish the trillions of chemical reactions happening in your body every second.

This is why I say food is medicine.

Not processed food marketed as “healthy.” Not ultra-processed convenience products with long ingredient labels. Real, nutrient-dense, whole foods, colorful plants, healthy fats, clean protein, phytonutrient-rich foods that tell your body to heal instead of break down.

Your fork is one of the most powerful tools you have to change your health and your future.

Use it wisely.
