We first met Duane Van Horn of Cedar Rapids in 2022 when he was quickly capturing attention as a fan favorite with his AQHA mare, I Wanta Rock.

Here we are in 2026, and Duane is still setting milestones in the saddle as he approaches age 95 this month - he turns 95 on May 25th to be exact.

“Since I started showing again after losing my dear wife Beverly five years ago, I’ve had 85 wins, 18 circuit championships, and 7 IQHA championships at almost 95 years old. I can’t believe it myself,” he says.

Yesterday, we posted a Success Story of one of the horses that sold at the Congress Super Sale. Let's see some more! The Congress Sale has literally sold thousands of horses over the years. Success Story! Playboys Valentine sold last year in the Ranch Horse Session of the Super Sale. Congrats to the young lady who now has a nice youth horse to show.

Well, the 2026 Congress Super Sale and Ranch Horse Sale is now in the planning stage! There will be some changes coming this year and we'll update you more later, but please start thinking about those good yearlings, prospects and riding horses you might be consigning. Per the Congress, the auction is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026.
