Spartans in work!

Last week was a very busy week for the Spartans! First, we had Lincoln East Alumni, and JUCO All-American Mileena Notaro in to lead practice! Mileena is a great technician, wrestler, and someone who represents the blue and white proud. We are so fortunate to have her helping us out this year!

Keira Crane went to yet another five day intensive camp at “The Farm” this past week! She even got a high five from Daniel Cormier!

Olivia Parra, Sam Baker, Brooklyn Ellenbecker, Stormie Schultz, and Talia Richtarik all competed at Cornhusker State Games! All girls medaled and picked up very valuable mat time! Sam Baker won three events earning herself the “Iron Man” title! Individual results below:

Sam Baker 1st Folkstyle, Greco, Beach
Brooklyn Ellenbecker 3rd Folkstyle
Olivia Parra 2nd Folkstyle, 3rd Freestyle
Stormie Schultz 2nd Folkstyle, 2nd Freestyle
Talia Richtarik 1st Folkstyle, 2nd Freestyle

We’ve had a great summer training and these girls are putting in a ton of work! We will be back in action starting this fall once school gets going! Great work girls!
