You've had good weeks. You know what sharp feels like.
And then something pulls you back.
It doesn't announce itself. It arrives as a busy week, a difficult conversation, a season that's harder than usual. And then the fog is back.
That's not a discipline problem. It's a resistance pattern — a biological program running in the background that activates the moment things start getting better.
After working with senior working mothers for years, I've found it shows up as one of five patterns:
*The Doubt Loop — questioning whether the progress is real, until the questioning undoes it
The Busy Shield — relentless motion that protects you from the one thing that would actually move you forward
Override Cascade — holding it together all day, then a response that doesn't match the input
Judgment Cascade — an internal standard so high the voice turns on you the moment you miss it
The Scarcity Loop — someone else's progress making yours invisible*
One of these is running for you right now. Which one? 👇

Your doctor said your labs look fine.
Your performance disagrees.
You know it because you can feel the difference between who you were five years ago and who you are in that 2PM meeting right now —
Reaching for the third coffee. Blanking on a name you know. Choosing the safe answer instead of the sharp one.
Here’s what nobody has told you: the biological factors costing you your performance aren’t on any standard panel.
Thyroid, hormones, iron, cortisol — all in range. All fine.
Meanwhile the thing actually draining your capacity every week has never been measured. Never been named. Never been on the treatment plan.
The problem isn’t your labs. The problem is what they don’t measure.
“Everything looks fine” is the most expensive diagnosis a senior working mother can get.

I spent nearly two decades in financial services leadership.
Director of Member Sales. High responsibility. Sustained pressure. Carrying outcomes — not just professionally, but biologically — for years.
I thought if I just worked harder, I could manage the stress.
My mind was strong. My body kept the score.
I gained 80 pounds no diet would touch. I woke up at 3AM every night with a racing heart. And every protocol I tried delivered the same thing: temporary results, then the same depleted baseline.
Like many high-performing women, I didn't burn out because I was weak.
I burned out because I was over-functional for too long.
That experience became the turning point. I stopped trying to force the weight loss and started addressing what was actually generating the symptoms — the nervous system pattern running underneath all of it.
The result wasn't a better morning routine. It was a complete biological reconstruction. 80 pounds gone. The 3AM wake-ups gone. The sharp thinking back.
Now it's what I do for other women carrying what I carried. ❤️

Something I explore in my chapter of Future-Ready Performance Playbook:
Burnout doesn't always look like collapse. Sometimes it looks like a full calendar, a fast pace, and a slow, quiet erosion of clarity that nobody — including you — notices happening.
I call it the burnout paradox. More on it in my chapter, live for pre-order July 15.

For years, I believed I simply needed to work harder.
More discipline.
More focus.
More motivation.
Another diet (I’ve been dieting since I was 8 years old!)
But I eventually discovered something far more important:
You cannot consistently outperform under-supported biology.
Your brain, muscles, hormones, metabolism, skin, and nervous system all depend on receiving the nutritional building blocks required to support energy, recovery, cognition, and resilience.
Mindset matters.
Sleep matters.
Stress management matters.
And biology also needs raw materials.
That is why deep dense powerful whole-food nutrition became one of the foundational tools inside my Executive Reset™ framework.
Not because nutrition is everything.
Because when your body is consistently under-resourced, everything else can feel harder:
Thinking clearly.
Recovering fully.
Regulating emotions.
Maintaining energy.
Leading with presence.
This is not about another restrictive diet or complicated time consuming task on your already full calendar.
It is about supporting the biology behind your performance.
Comment RESET if you are curious about the system I personally use and recommend.
