If you see GM Bledsoe today, make sure to yell HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🥳

For anyone looking for gift ideas, he loves Waffle House, Kit Kats, Cinnamon Altoids, and unsweet iced tea. Just throwing that out there. 🤷‍♀️😂

All joking aside, we are so excited to celebrate YOU today! Thank you for everything you do for our students, families, and GMA team. We hope your day is filled with all your favorite things and maybe a little Waffle House!

GMA has been in full swing, as always! 🥋❤️

Last night, we celebrated our quarterly promotions with a room full of GMA families, recognized our students' hard work, and heard encouraging, inspiring words from the wonderful Lita Marie Danlag.

Of course, we couldn’t celebrate without a little fun too! We gave away some awesome prizes from
Extreme Tactical, Inc. (Rina Bina) and Big E's Bouncers. Even though Big E’s couldn’t be there in person, they still made sure a gift card was dropped off for one of our families to win!

We are incredibly thankful for local businesses that continue to show up and support our youth.

Then today, the focus turned to the people behind the scenes. Our instructors and coaches gathered for our quarterly staff meeting to talk about where we’re going, how we continue to grow, and most importantly, how we can better serve our students and families.

These individuals graciously give their time, knowledge, energy, and hearts to GMA, and we don’t take that for granted. Great programs don’t happen by accident. They happen because great people choose to show up. We are so grateful for the team that helps make our GMA family one of the very best around. ❤️🥋

Busy weekend. Full hearts. Strong team. That’s GMA.

🥋 TONIGHT IS PROMOTIONS! 🥋

We are so excited to celebrate all of the hard work our students have put in this testing cycle!

And remember, you do not have to be receiving a new belt tonight to attend. Promotions are about more than who is moving up in rank. They’re about showing up for one another, celebrating our teammates, and being part of the GMA family.

🎁 We’re giving away door prizes
📣 We have some really exciting announcements to share
🥋 And we’ll be recognizing the students who have worked hard to reach their next milestone!

📍 Warriors Hall
🚪 Doors open at 6:00 PM

Apparently when the GMA team says “team bonding,” we mean DING D**G DITCHING OUR INSTRUCTORS. 😂

We loaded up the Boo Bags, hit the road, dropped them at the doors… and RAN. And by “ran,” we need everyone to please appreciate Mrs. Mary’s post-knee-replacement getaway speed. 😂 👏 👏 Clearly, she understood the assignment.

Our instructors spend all year showing up for our students, pushing them, encouraging them and making GMA the family it is, so we figured they deserved a little Halloween surprise.

But seriously… HOW CUTE WAS MARY’S RUN?! 😂👇

Good job to our “mini” martials on their test yesterday!

Today is our Jr. Beginners @4:30pm and Hapkido .

The belt isn’t earned on testing day. It’s earned in every class, every correction, every repetition, and every time a student chooses to keep going. This week, our students get the opportunity to show what they’ve learned and how much they’ve grown. We’re proud of the work that brought each of them to this moment, and we can’t wait to watch them shine!

REMINDER: There are NO regular classes during testing this week.

🥋 Monday: Mini Martials
🥋 Tuesday: Junior Beginner Taekwondo & Hapkido
🥋 Wednesday: Kids & Adult Krav Maga
🥋 Thursday: Junior Intermediate & Advanced Taekwondo + Teen/Adult Taekwondo
🥋 Friday: Promotions at Warriors Hall.

Good luck to every student stepping onto the mat this week. Trust your training. Do your best. You’ve earned the opportunity to be here. 🖤🥋

With more than 35 years of experience as an educator, Master Gregory Bledsoe brings much more than martial arts knowledge to the mat. In every class he teaches, from our youngest Mini Martials students to our advanced martial artists, he uses the tenets of Taekwon-Do—courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit—to instill character, discipline and values that will stay with his students for life.

Drop a ❤️ in the comments if Master Bledsoe’s teaching has made an impact on you or your family!

Confidence doesn’t appear overnight. It grows every time a student steps onto the mat, tries something new, works through a challenge, and discovers they are capable of more than they thought.

At Gordon Martial Arts, confidence starts here.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the heroes who ran toward danger, and stand with the families forever changed by that day. May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, and unity that brought our nation together.
