My old(er) retired Army body doesn’t like to run anymore. It only takes one mile of running for me to pay for it days later. So, I also started rucking more. Not the soul crushing weight from my Ranger days, or the training for SFAS days. No more than 35 pounds, usually less (not including water). Thats all it takes. It burns serious calories and, believe it or not, is great for helping with lower back pain.
The important thing is to find well fitting boots, a good ruck, and know how to pack the weight in properly. If you’re interested in learning more reach out to me and we can discuss it.
