I’ll be doing Hands-On Sn**ch session at NSCA Texas State Clinic. I’ve put on a few strength clinics in the past and have attended many NSCA events, but never spoken at a National Strength & Conditioning Association event. Excited to share my knowledge of the progressions and variations I use while teaching the sn**ch. Many are scared to implement this lift as it’s very technical and can take a lot time to teach. I believe you can progressively teach the sn**ch within one semester.

Every now and then you have to remind the kids that Coach still got it! Jumped in with baseball for Zercher Squats today! No knee wrap, no towels around the bar, no weight belt, no half squat, just straight raw full Zercher squat. The way strength training should be! 315lbs at .31m/s, I felt I had another 10-20lbs in me. Currently, I walk around at 161-163.

Spent most of the summer working with chains, now progressing to bands. You want some real tension on a bar, double loop a band around it.

All athletes should sprint and jump! 45 degree bounds are one of my favorite plyometrics to do. Working two planes of motion, single leg power, and bounding is as close to a sprint you can get.

Half Moon Drill for curvilinear speed.

Shuttle Moon Drill: 5 yard power cut on each foot then ran half moon to whatever side I point to and sprint through the cones. Good curvilinear drill.
