🔥 MEMBER MONDAY 🔥

This Member Monday, we’re recognizing Chris Davis and John Arista for stepping up and deploying to help with the Escondido Fires.

Alongside hundreds of firefighters and departments from across the area, Chris and John worked to help slow the spread of the fires and protect the communities in their path. When the call comes, firefighters leave their homes and families behind to lend a hand wherever they’re needed, and these two did exactly that.

We’re proud to have Chris and John as part of our department. Thank you both for answering the call and representing our community while helping others in a time of need.

Member Monday 🚒

For Member Monday, we would like to congratulate Firefighter/Paramedics John Arista, Shane Youngblood, Alex Fisherov, and Tanner Morgan on successfully completing Driver/Operator training and earning their certifications!

The Driver/Operator certification is a significant accomplishment that requires extensive training and demonstrates a commitment to mastering the skills necessary to safely and effectively operate fire apparatus. These skills are critical to our department’s ability to respond efficiently, position apparatus safely, and support fireground operations.

The Prosper Firefighters Association was proud to sponsor these four members to attend this training and invest in their continued professional development.

Congratulations, John, Shane, Alex, and Tanner! We’re proud of your hard work and dedication to the Prosper Fire Rescue team. 👨‍🚒🔥

🔥 Member Monday — Captain Ryan Bergman

This week we’re highlighting Captain Ryan Bergman and what he does when he’s not at the firehouse.

Ryan has been working as a general contractor for about 6 years. He originally started Bergman Contracting to help out friends and family, but it didn’t take long for word to get around. A big part of that is the way Ryan treats his customers — like family.

Ryan now works with All Seasons Contracting out of Denison, doing residential and commercial roofing from DFW to OKC. He’s also teamed up with Prosper’s own Caleb Swaney and Swaney Built Construction, helping with remodels and new construction.

We’re lucky to have guys like Ryan on our department who stay busy serving people both on and off duty. If you’ve got a project coming up, give him a shout and support one of our own! 🔨🚒Ryan Bergman - All Seasons Roofing

Last Thursday, Prosper first responders answered a call for a resident who suffered a heart attack while mowing his yard. Our crews acted quickly to stabilize and transport him to the hospital, where he underwent a successful cardiac procedure and is now recovering.

The story doesn't end when the ambulance leaves.

Noticing the resident’s front lawn was left half-mowed, Battalion Chief Jason Graham quietly grabbed the mower, finished the job, cleaned up the yard, and secured the home before heading back to the station.

Jason didn't do it for recognition, he simply saw a neighbor in need and stepped up. This is what servant leadership looks like in Prosper.
