Great first event of the season for our Spring Wildcats! Congrats to 8th Grade Black and 7th Grade Black on their championship wins in yesterday’s HS feeder program tournament at Whitney HS 🥇.

Battling against other feeder programs for Whitney, Rocklin, Jesuit, Granite Bay, and Del Oro HS, it’s always a great sign of things to come for Davis when we leave a top-level feeder program tournament with two gold medal squads 🏀.

Great job to all of our squads for competing and improving yesterday. Can’t wait for more!

Congrats to 5th Grade Black on their championship win yesterday! 🏀🏆

One year ago today the youngest team in the Wildcats program was 6th grade. So fun to see the passion and the growth with our new youngest group of hoopers.

Big shoutout to Coach Jonathan for the great work he’s done with this team. This group still has three more tournaments this winter and we can’t wait to see what they can accomplish!

What a night of hoops and hoops family!

Big thank you to Coach Steve Smith for inviting our program to come watch Davis High School take on Woodland High School, and congrats to all three DHS levels for coming out on top! 🏆

Another thank you to the DHS players who took the time to talk to and form relationships with our young Wildcats tonight, it means the world to our young hoopers to see Wildcats grads succeed in a way that they hope to succeed in a few years, and to hear words of encouragement from the high schoolers. 🏀

Hearts are full tonight! We love every single one of the Wildcats grads we had the pleasure of watching compete tonight at all three levels for both squads - over 40 former Wildcats total tonight! Can’t wait to do it again.

Congrats to Denali, Camden, Luke, Jacob, Ivan, Clyde, Max, Cameron, Oliver, Noah, Nico, Rigley, Matthew, Kolten, Anderson, Cooper, Madden, and George for battling through tryouts and making our winter comp roster. Now the real work begins! 🏆

I present to you, your 2025-26 winter 6th grade squads! (just missing two). These 18 ballers earned their spots on our 12U winter roster all week long last week during tryouts. 🏀

We need everyone to give A HUGE THANK YOU to Steve Sousa for serving as the Davis Hoops Wildcats President for the last decade, and for all of the work Steve has done selflessly to benefit the youth basketball players of Davis and surrounding communities throughout the years. 👏

Countless hours of organizing, coaching, growing relationships, and more has left our basketball community significantly stronger than when he started. We also owe another HUGE THANK YOU to powerhouse Patti Sousa for all of the incredible work she has done over the years as our Director of Finance & Operations, as well as the other infinite number of duties she expertly served for our organization and the thousands of Davis and surrounding youth who have joined the Wildcats family through our teams and camps over the years. Thank you, Sousas ❤️.

Lastly, welcome to our incoming President, Austin Hershberger! Coach Austin has a thorough playing and coaching resume, starting as a player himself for the Davis Hoops/Wildcats in 2003 for Club Founder Bob Silva, and most recently serving as a coach for DSHS and Davis Wildcats during the last four years. Austin is excited to expand our age offerings + number of competitive seasons, and bring back camps and clinics this 2025-26 Wildcats season.

We are happy to announce the expansion of our team offerings this 2025-26 season by adding a minimum of one more age group:

5th grade teams will now be offered at a minimum of two seasons per year, starting this Winter!

Tryouts for both 5th and 6th grade teams will be the first week of November, with specifics to come at the end of the week 🔥

We are also looking to run a three part mini-camp series in October for 4th-6th grade ballers who want to learn the Wildcats curriculum before the Winter season kicks off. Please comment here or DM to express interest in this October mini-camp series, or to gather more information.
